So not looking forward to putting on a swimsuit

I don't post very often, but I gotta ask... anyone else wondering how the hell swimsuit season is going to go in our first trimester? With my first, I didn't start to look remotely pregnant until about 20 weeks. Now, I'm not as tight in the tummy this time around as I was before, but I wear the same size pants/clothes. With this pregnancy I'm already a fat/bloated mess at 7w4d. Memorial Day pool day at the community swimming pool is not an appealing thought right now.

it's one thing to hide a growing bump in regular clothes, but this summertime swimsuit thing is blowing my mind. Anyone else dreading the challenge of hiding this pregnancy throughout the summer? I'd like to make it to 18 weeks and I'm just hoping I can get close!

I'm definitely dreading it, although I haven't spent much time swimming or at the beach the past few summers. I gained a lot of weight going through fertility treatments too so it's like a double whammy for me.

I'm actually looking forward to it because my boobs haven't grown yet so I can still wear all the ones I currently own! And we are going to the beach in 3 weeks so I still won't be showing anything. Perfect timing before shit hits the fan!

Maybe try a tankini?

I'm hoping not to be "public" in a bathing suit till 4th of July, and by then I will feel comfortable announcing. I still have a "belly" leftover from my 1st 2 pregnancies.

I pray I don't show, we are going to the beach in August and I might be showing some by then. I will be 19 weeks!! I am not showing AT all right now, no bloat (thank goodness). Hoping that I stay close to what I was last time!

I went to target and invested in a couple tankinis. I can't believe it, but I think I'll feel more comfortable. I'll be 12 weeks when we hit the beach, but I'm sure DD and I will be at the pool before then. I don't want the awkward "is she pregnant or just gaining some lbs" look.

I am having these same thoughts. We had a family vacation to a lake house booked before our BFP. I will be about 13 weeks, and I wasn't planning on telling anyone just then. I'm afraid I might have to, because I'm sure that while I might be able to hide my weight gain with clothes, I doubt i'll be able to hide it in a swimsuit. Plus, at that time I won't have a cute little bump yet, but will likely just feel gross and fat.

We're going to the lake this weekend. I'm dreading putting on a suit. I had lost 12 pounds before getting pregnant, but was still about 10 from my goal. So I guess I would have been uncomfortable in a suit either way. At least I know it's bloat this time and not all squishy.

I'm actually excited. I bought mine before my BFP and was extremely pleased with it.
In fact I have NEVER EVER purchased a swimsuit I was happy with and if I was even a little "ok" with it it took me 1000 try ons before I found it.

I purchased this one from PUG and was terrified because it was online. Got it and it's amazing! It fits amazing, covers me up and the rouching (sp) in the belly is amazing!!!

haha! Yeah the last time I wore a two piece was my honeymoon. We got pregnant ON the honeymoon. So the following summer I was very pregnant and in a maternity suit. Last year I was in a one piece. After having DS I'm covered in stretch marks so there will be no two piece anymore, ever. Even though the one piece from last year will fit for a while, I'm worried about the bump coming through so early. I'm thinking I'm going to show a lot sooner this second time around.

I hadn't thought of this and I should have. Myself, my sister and her bridesmaids are headed to Jamaica to an all inclusive for her bachelorette. I will be 11 weeks but I guess I will be "out" anyways since I will be the only one not drinking.

The 50's style one pieces, which I think are super cute, are luckily coming back in style, which is definitely my plan. I'm going down the shore with some of my DH's family for the 4th of July weekend, and while I'll be around 13 weeks at that point, I want to wait a little longer to announce, because I want to tell everyone all at once. This way, at least I won't feel like I'm letting it all hang out with my normal suit.

My little girl insists on the pool at least once a week even in the winter, so I have to have a suit! I do agree that this pregnancy is hard because summer if going to mostly be first trimester and I just feel chubby and bloated. I had a one piece I bought from www.modcloth.com they are retro styles but it's really flattering and they are normally expensive but on sale now, I think
