Video monitors? (xp from Aug14)

We didn't use a monitor for DS because his room is right now the hall from us .... the new baby will be going in his room, and he's moving to the downstairs bedroom. He'll be almost 4, but I'd like a video monitor because we'll be two floors away from him. Brands you love/ hate? What to look for/ look out for? Thanks!

    I have a Motorola and I hate it. About 6 months ago the video part started to not work well and the screen will freeze on an alert, but nothing makes it change back. It will randomly go back to the video, and work for awhile before breaking again.

    I'm looking at getting a Summer monitor with split screen so I can see both boys rooms at the same time.

    We have a Foscam, have been using it for almost 2.5yrs and love it. They didn't have one with a screen when we bought ours, but do offer one now. We watch it on our phones and iPads.
