Would you rather go to a 3 yr old's birthday party from 11-1 or 3-5 or some other better option? Is 2 hours acceptable or do I need to make it longer?
I'm trying to work around the birthday boy's nap so he's not a grumpy cat at his own party. But I also don't want to upset all the other parents.
I don't know how to do this kid party thing! The last couple years we've just invited our adult friends over for a cookout and drinks with some birthday cake, but I'm thinking the poor kid deserves to have a friend birthday party at this age.
Re: Party timing
2 hours is a good length.

Serious eye roll...
No one was talking about gorging except you. A small piece of cake with a small scoop of ice cream...that's enough to kill dinner. Am I going to keep my kid home from a party at that time? No. But do I like that party time? Absolutely not.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Thanks for the timing opinions. Good food for thought.
