Selling baby gear?

For those who have sold off baby gear, where have you gotten the best price? Craigslist? Consignment sale like Just Between Friends? Facebook selling group? Once Upon a Child? The lazy side me of thinks I should just take it to a store, but I hate to get less than 50% of what I would get if I sold it myself.

Also I'm probably going to cry when we sell the swing and the bouncer and all the other tiny baby stuff. Sniffle.

  • I list things on my local moms listserv and Craigslist. I have much better luck there than consigning!

  • I mixture of just between friends, local moms fb group, and craigslist. It all depends on the item.

Kate there are some good Just Between Friends sales coming up -- Edina, Eden Prairie, Eagan... there's also a new one here that I just learned about called Rhea Lana or something and I think they might have another one this summer.

  • It's more work, but you will make way more if you sell it yourself. Craigstlistx facebook, local swap groups, etc. Consignment stores only pay you a fraction of what they will sell it for.

I used Craigslist for bigger stuff, Once Upon A Child to just get rid of clothes.
