This is our main loving room. It's down stairs. I have a nice looking chest at the far end of the couch (can't see in pic) that doubles as an end table/toy chest. I leave the Jumperoo and piano out for little bit. There are a couple small toys out now but those can go in the chest when I need.
This is our family room upstairs. That's a play kitchen on the left. I've got little bits's play may out. And the item under the tv is a toy chest. But I really try to contain most items and only allow a few bigger things. Small things get put up in chests. I'm more laxed up here though since it's really the play room.
I am at work or I would post a picture, but mine totally looks like a BRU/TRU explosion. It has looked that way for 3 years now. We try to contain it, but it ends up looking that way again. It's worse after birthdays and Christmas when there is new stuff and no where to put it.
I was just saying this to a friend of ours! This is one half of the living room (only pic on my phone). Not shown are 2 swings, 2 space saver feeding chairs, boppy pillows, a second bouncy chair, 2 doorway jumpers, exersaucer, play mat, and some sort of push toy that my mom brought us that they aren't ready for yet.
Out coffee table and DH's stereo speakers have been temporarily sent to the basement.
This is how our living room looks 99% of the time. I find great comfort in the fact that your living rooms also looked like a unicorn busted in and shit all over the place.
This is the "cleaned up" version. I have a ton of family coming into town later this week and I'd rather my apartment not look like it's been ransacked for jewels.
Right at this moment? LO ripped up a magazine while big sister practiced piano. Cat was nearby to support his favorite human in the world during her pretend recital.

Just after I took my picture the dog found a bunch of tissue paper somewhere and shredded it all over the place. So much for cleaned up...
We keep it all contained in this pool DH brought home from work. DS crawls out of it so we can't leave him to play on his own or he will surely split his skull open on the tile.

We just moved the mat yesterday as it was smack in the center of the living room, but we may need to move it back because she's hit her head twice today on the chairs. #moty
I'm currently in a chair nursing or I'd have a better pic. Small toys are in two brown storage ottomans (seen at bottom of top pic) bigger toys rotated from that brown box in second picture (made from a diaper box). We only have one big jumper style toy seen in top pic.
