Fur babies and the heat

A terrible incident happened in my area, where 6 dogs were left in a truck and died of heat stroke. I know everyone knows better than to leave their pets in a car on a hot day, but it's so important that I wanted to post a reminder.

Re: Fur babies and the heat

  • That's awful. And I swear my own dog just let out a cry in her sleep like I've never heard her do... poor pups..

Also please remember a bowl of water for your dog's when they are hanging out outside!

If you can avoid leaving your pets outside unattended, that's even better. Heat and insects cause deaths every year.

And about dogs in cars, sixty and sunny can be VERY deadly. It's not just eighty degree days that result in dog deaths!

We're getting a doggy pool this year too. My mom bought them one a few years ago and they loved it. But they're retrievers, so they love all water (except the bathtub).

Are they actually doggy pools or just the baby plastic kind? I've gotten those almost every year for my husky. He loves it!
