I don't think so. I gave up dairy the first 3 months and it didn't seem to change anything and the last 2 months since having it again hasn't increased the spit up.
My friends have a baby that's a "spitter". He just turned 9 months & they told me his spitting up has improved dramatically in the past month or so. I think it's because the digestive system matures so much between 6-9 months.
My LO spits up a huge amount too. It is constantly all over his clothes, my clothes, the floor, the sofa, the sheets, and anywhere else that he might have access to. He even has a little rash on his chin and neck because it is always damp from spitup. I can't wait until this phase is over!
DD1 was definitely a happy spitter. She spit up after almost every feeding until she was almost 9 months, then it drastically improved. Weight-wise she was even chunkier than LO, which is kind of funny. LO spits up some, but it is nothing in comparison.
