Mother effing monday.

So my throat lymph nodes on my neck still feel like they're on fire. It feels like someone is squeezing behind my ears and shoving a knife down my throat when I try to swallow. I was sure it was allergies, but Tylenol sinus allergy whatever isn't helping at all. Today is day 4. How long do I let this go before I make sure it really is allergies and not something worse?

Ugh. Damn you all and your logic. I *can* eat, it's just not comfortable. I am chugging Earl Grey like I'm captain picard.

It's just the top part of my throat, where the mouth and air hole and sinuses all meet and such. (Pretty sure that's the technical name for all of those parts.)

I will give it one more day. I will call tomorrow if its still bad.

Ears aren't plugged, just sore. Achy sore, not stabby sore. Basically my whole head is just achy sore. Except the top of my throat which burns when I swallow. I can feel my sinuses starting to loosen up so that gives me some hope.

Have you tried zyrtec, allegra, or any other OTC meds besides Tylenol allergy? I take zyrtec daily and it's been a lifesaver. I really would try a different med before getting it checked if allergy season is bad out there. I live in GA and the pollen down here is out of control. I've never had to take allergy medicine anywhere else but I do here.

As the day has gone on, I am actually feeling more human. I still ache but not as bad, and I am feeling things loosen up behind my eyes. And my occasional cough seems more productive. Maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel?

Mucinex is the weirdest name for a medicine. May as well call it phlegmacin or snotinol.

Most sinus meds make me loopy. I can't be loopy since I sah. Oddly enough, ibuprofen seems to be helping with the ache.

@Hismom12 I would be freaked out too! We are likely to move to the middle of nowhere (pretty much a private road like you) in the next 10 years and that scenario has crossed my mind before.

Oh Monday. DS has been crankier than usual the last couple days. I am starting to suspect teething but it's near impossible to get a good look in his mouth.
