  I want to eat your face. Your cuteness is almost too much to handle sometimes and I definitely mom creep on you while you sleep because you just look so damn precious when you're snoozing away. Your dad regularly makes fun of me for this and calls me a weirdo but you know what? He does it too.

  
  

  I'm so glad you feel better after having your tubes and tongue/lip tie surgeries and it seems like you can finally hear well and you're making a ton more noises and sounds! But I don't understand your obsession with using both your thumbs like fish hooks, hooking them in my mouth and squeezing my cheeks with your unnatural baby strength, and then screaming like a banshee right in my face while trying to eat my nose. It's a little much, think you could tone that down a bit? Oh, and the trying to grab my teeth while I feed you and then getting upset when I accidentally bite you. I know you don't have any teeth yet (I feel like I'm going to have to get you baby dentures at this point) but that's what those things do, they bite. So keep your paws out of there!

  
  

  Also, I understand that you're a very mature and grown up woman but I don't understand how purees are suddenly beneath you. I know that you want to do everything yourself but your tiny hands and lack of motor skills prevent you from using a spoon to bring food to your mouth. And you don't so much eat "finger food" as you eat "fist food" where you get a fist full of whatever I put in front of you and try to shove your entire hand in your mouth. All of this makes you incredible frustrated and we both end up covered in every food possible along with the highchair, table, and kitchen floor; it's really not fun at all. The dog, however, is ecstatic about it. 

  
  

  Every day is something new with you and even though most of the time you act like a tiny little drunken sailor, you're beyond amazing and I'm in awe of how much you learn and grow more and more. Love you to pieces, forever and ever.

  Dear DD, mommy is sick and feels like poo but when I laid you down on the bed next to me and you scooted your little butt backwards until you felt my front against my back and then you sighed contentedly and fell asleep--I forgot all about how crappy I'm feeling and just marveled once again at how beautiful and perfect you are. Thank you for the wonderful morning snuggles. That helped mommy feel so much better. :-)

  Do you even know how cute you are?
  
  Also, I know I get frustrated sometimes when you are so obviously tired and won't go to sleep for your nap. Can't you trust me to know that it's the best thing for you at the time? You look so contented and lovely when you are sleeping. I feel like holding you forever in those moments.
  
  You are the best parts of me and your dad and we love you so much.

  Dear DD2,
  Thank you for being such an easy, happy baby. Your 2 yr old sister can be very trying at times, so the fact that you are such a happy, easy baby who sleeps and eats well balances everything out and makes life easier.
  
  Dear DD1,
  You are such a sweet, loving, smart child but I am growing tired of the tantrums. I know you love playing out in the yard but we can not not stay out there 24 hrs a day. Please grow out of these terrible twos fast!

  Dear DD,
  Even though I am sick of taking my glasses in to be readjusted and I have to see a chiropractor for this back pain that won't go away (and I'm suspicious that you are the cause), I think you're the most amazing person in the world! I have been in another state since Mother's Day and will be here another week and I would give my right arm just to be able to snuggle you and breath in your beautiful baby scent. I miss you more than I thought was humanly possible and I love you more than life!
