Said i probably just did to much this weekend. Which is true was on my feet alot.... anyone else had this. Re: Light Spotting 28 weeks tomorrow

  • I experienced this at 26 weeks and had an ultrasound that afternoon which confirmed there were no problems (and there has been no bleeding since). It's frustrating that there was no explanation, but I'm happy there have been no further issues.

  • Ive had some light spotting. I was told that it can be normal but I should always call them because I'm high risk. Usually spotting with me is accompanied with some sort of pain though so it's a tad more complicated than just regular spotting

I had some very very light spotting on Friday and called but didn't need to go in. The nurse pretty much told me the same things they told you. I am just keeping an eye on it and will call again/go in if it happens again.

  • I made a conversation last Friday (asking for Placenta previa moms help), try and find that if you can for more details.

I've had mild spotting/bleeding several times in the last 10 weeks. The first time my doctor wanted to see me, but the last couple times they've been fine for me to not come in either. This last time the nurse mentioned that if it's more of a brown color, that actually means that it's "old" blood. Meaning it's been there for a while at least, and probably nothing to worry about if you haven't had any problems other than that. My doctor thinks my cervix is just being irritated by something but they're not concerned.

I had some very light spotting (brown, only when I wiped) at 23 weeks that lasted about 2 days. My doctor saw me and did an internal exam (said I was maybe a cm dilated, but that's pretty normal if you've had a vaginal birth before), then did a quick ultrasound to check my cervix, which was "long and closed" (4 cm) so that was good. Couldn't figure out any reason for the spotting. At 25 weeks, I had more spotting just one time when I wiped. Didn't call the doctor that time. Never any cramps or pain. I haven't had any spotting since - 28w4d now.

Never had any spotting at all with DS. It's definitely scary to see. It's probably nothing, but I totally understand how you're feeling!

I had a very small amount when wiping at 26 weeks. I called and was told the same thing. It quit after 24 hours. I had an appt anyway a week after that. The doctor told me that at this point, the cervix is very vascular and it doesn't take much to irritate it. It is very scary though!
