    I assume by normal, you mean vaginal? I wouldn't really call a c-section abnormal.

    I've had two vaginal deliveries.
    That was my first thought, too.

    This is what I was thinking.

    It's a BOY

    As someone who had no choice in her very normal c section after planning for a vaginal birth and struggled enough coming to terms with it, I definitely would suggest revising the phrasing....

    I feel for you, I had a hard time after DS's surgical extraction. I cried myself to sleep last night because it looks like I won't be getting my vbac. I have no idea how I am going to come to terms with another c/s after this LO is born.

    I saw this post earlier and I couldn't comment because I didn't want to go off on someone that I am sure didn't mean to hurt people's feelings.

    (((HUGS))) to you both. I too bawled about my first c/s. I really wanted a VBAC this time but never went into labor in time so wound up with another section. I was able to come to terms with this one more but still sad.

    I ended up in the same situation. I really wanted a VBAC too, but no signs of labor by 41 weeks meant another section. I am dealing with this one better so far, but I try not to think about it too much so I won't get in that disappointing/depressed mindset again. :/ My doc said my pelvis shape may not allow for engagement, which eased my mind about it a little. I tried all I could to help labor along.

    I was scheduled for an RCS on the 12th. DD came via unmedicated VBAC on the 2nd.

    @mariedianne you're a SS.

    Also, VAGINA.

    And, 2 happily elective extractions here.

  • Three surgical extractions here. One emergency, one because I chickened out of a VBAC (I wasn't a great candidate for one so opted for the extraction rather than attempting a VBAC and having to end up with a CS anyway), and a third because I had no other option.
