Tubes tomorrow--update!

My little guy gets tubes tomorrow and they are also going to look to see if his Adnoids need to be removed due to his congestion and constant mouth breathing.

I am hopeful he feels better after this

Anyone had to have both tubes and the removal of adnoids for their LO's at this age?

Update: all went well. Tubes in both ears and Adenoids out. He said there was fluid and a bunch of stringy gunk, especially behind right ear. He was fairly fussy and clingy today, so excited for tomorrow morning. Doc said due to adenoids being taken our, he might be fussy for thee days and have a stiff neck. DH and I leave for a cruise tomorrow and my parents are staying with him so it will be hard not having an update. As to the question about how long it toke for doctor to recommend tubes...thus was his second one in two months and after the rounds of antibiotics not working, she sent us to ENT and he scheduled us two days later Thanks for the thoughts!

No experience here either, but I have heard nothing but good things about tubes from my friends kids. Thinking about you for tomorrow, good luck with everything.

I think this is in our near future. We've had 4 or 5 in 4 months. How many did it take before your doctor recommended them? I will have to see at his 1 year appointment if there is a plan.

@huckleberry08 Ughh!! We've had to do a second round of antibiotics, never third or FOURTH!
