Obviously we all can't just ditch work during the first trimester, but I am wondering how to deal with this nausea while at work... I have been throwing up for 3 days in a row now and I have to constantly be snacking... What should I do? Or what CAN I do? I wish I could just lay in bed all day because it feels like I couldn't possibly go through 9 hours of work feeling like this, but I know that's not possible... How did everyone else deal with this?

Re: Morning sickness & work
I unfortunately have reached the point where I hate all food. So hungry, but nothing is apealling nor will anything stay down.
I sucked on jolly ranchers, ate crackers, drank ginger ale.
The biggest thing is for me was figuring out my bodies clues as to when I was going to start throwing up- if I got to hungry, if I smelled something gross, if I went outside in the bitter cold (winter pregnancy last time) etc. So I was able to be proactive. I tried to nibble on food before I got to hungry, I sucked on jolly ranchers before I went outside, I didn't eat in the break room in case someone had something smelly and I tried to eat protein vs carbs. Carbs got burned up too fast and I was hungry again, lean protein stuck with me and helped me get through the day.

I agree if it's constant get some zofran.
This is my first post. I just found out a last week that I'm pregnant (first time ever!). I'm a 4W5D right now and just waiting for the onslaught of sickness. Not looking forward to it at all! I've already invested in crackers, pretzels, rice cakes, etc. My work is awesome and always has fresh fruit out for employees, so I'm definitely going to keep the apple idea in mind. The other thing that I got after reading up on this sort of thing (again, total newbie here) is hard ginger candies. Anyone else had success with ginger?
As the OP mentioned though, it's hard being sick at work. Beyond the issue of what to eat and when, how do you go about keeping the sickness quiet (literally!). I feel like being sick in the bathroom multiple times a day is going to make it real obvious real quick to my coworkers.
Thanks,
