Ugh, my turn to go back! Just a vent.

Just venting. Figured it has been slow so I can just share with other ladies that understand my heartache. My turn to go back to work!!! I'm trying to think of all the positives. Today is Friday. I have 3 weeks until summer break and then I'm home another 9 weeks. My mil is babysitting the next three weeks (she lives 45-minutes away but Abby gets to stay home for now). But I'm pumping before the sun is up. Abby is starting (I think) the 4-month "I don't need to sleep" phase. Wide awake until 12:30 and up at 4:30. No interest in sleeping. I just hope the day goes fast! As much as my job stresses me out, the students always make me laugh and smile. They make the day go fast. It is the adults - they are going to be all huggy and want to know if I'm okay and I'm just going to cry. I cried 7-8 times yesterday. Ugh! Then after school, my teaching partner is having a happy hour at her house to say goodbye to the teacher that took over for me. I need to go for an hour but all I want to do is come home and cuddle my baby!!! I already miss my baby and she is just downstairs with MH.

Good luck today! Once you're at work just think about how excited you're going to be to leave and go home to that beautiful girl!!! Get mil to send pics throughout the day - they made me cry but also relieved me to see her and to see that she was okay. FaceTime/Skype at lunch if you can too - again, made me cry but also relieved me. Hugs to you today!!!

GL - and remember you have a countdown to when you get to be home again! Focus on that and the next 3 weeks will fly.

Ugh! I feel your pain! I have to go back to work (teaching) on Monday and I am dreading it! I hope you last few weeks go smoothly and the days go quickly!

@nolagal79‌ I survived, thanks!!! The kids are great and keep me busy. I enjoy teaching and they enjoy learning. I just hate the other "stuff" so much that during those times I get sad and angry that I'm not home with my baby. When I take them out for recess ( important for them) I just think how much Abby likes being outside and I just what to be sitting on the patio instead. I have no lesson plans or copies made for this coming week. I hate that I will need to spend an hour or two away from her tonight to put something together. I have to start averaging grades and doing report cards (which will be interesting since I wasn't there and the interim couldn't do it before leaving). The meetings are boring and stupid. Just the extra stuff that takes hours to do and hours away from Abby. This coming week is my only true full week. No school next Monday and I'm missing Friday. (Taking Abby on her first plane ride!) then the last week, students are only there through Thursday. And Friday is a teacher workday and our luncheon. I'll probably have my mil bring Abby by Thursday and Friday for a little bit. I'll make it but it is so hard!!! Thanks for asking!!

I'm sorry you have to go back to work. Those three weeks are gonna fly and you are gonna enjoy 9 weeks of snuggly hugs with Abby after that. Good luck!
