Minivans...

Crazy question, but I plan on trading in my SUV this summer & I think I need to bite the bullet and get a minivan. I'm looking for something with a top tether in all 3 back seats and either closed cargo space or hooks to tie town my stroller with (so it doesn't become a projectile in an accident). Thoughts?

    Honda Odyssey immediately comes to mind. I know it has the most top tether points and LATCH points of the minivans. I would definitely stay away from the Chrysler town and country as it has the least top tether points.

    Honda Odyssey. Every seat has a top tether so plenty of seating options and there are a ton of other great features/options. I love my minivan. Best.car.ever.

    Good info! Can you tie down or secure your stroller?

    I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey with a top tether LATCH in every seat.  It is the only one.

    If you have the seats up, there is no way a stroller is going to be a projectile.  The trunk is pretty deep.  It is not like a SUV :)

    We traded our new pilot for a used Odyssey and while it's older, I still love it! We have a forward facing britax behind driver using a too tether and rear facing britax infant seat behind passenger with latches.

    If you leave the 3rd row up, the stroller wouldn't be a projectile. However we leave the 3rd down since we need more cargo space for stroller and groceries. Our b ready stroller is also too big to fit above the seats too although I know some crazy things happen in crashes!

    I was actually looking at the Santa Fe or Pilot with 3rd row seating and I just think they would be hard for an adult to sit in the back row of a SUV. Although I love my SUV I don't see it working long term for us. Especially if I'm still pregnant this summer.

    With the third row of the Pilot, you lose pretty much all of your cargo space.  With the minivan, you don't lose any space.

    There's so much more room in the van vs the pilot. I leave the 3rd row down but if needed, we could have it up for passengers and still have room for out stroller and stuff in the back which we wouldn't in the pilot.

    Also LOVE the sliding doors that makes it easier to put little ones in when your hands are full!

    I just got a used 2009 Odyssey in great condition, love it :) 

    I know with the 2014s you can hook up 3 car seats in the middle row
