Fertility Dr after multiple losses ???

in Pregnant after a Loss

I am currently going through loss #4  :(  I swear the universe hates me. 

My OB is sending me to meet with a fertility dr regarding my losses.  I was just wondering what other experiences were like.  What tests did you have run?  What was your plan? Any questions I should be asking?   I understand they are going to be different based on the person, just trying to get a feel of what is coming my way.

BFP #3 April 30, 2013; Chemical Pg May 5, 2013

BFP #4 Aug 22, 2013; It's a boy.  Loss discovered at 24 weeks on Jan 15, 2014 (cause CMV virus)

    I am so very sorry. (((Big Hugs))). After my first loss my OB ran a clotting panel as a part of the bloodwork done. Have you had any testing done yet, or will this be the first? I am sorry I don't have better advice for you. I hope seeing a specialist will help you find some answers and get a plan in place for the future. (((More Hugs)))

    Initially, it was a lot to take in. If at all possible, have somebody with you -- as you will both remember different tidbits of info.

    So my RE broke it down. Saying there are typically 4 causes of RPL. 1.Hormonal/endocrine issues- stuff found through bloodwork like clotting factors
    2.Structural- uterus/ovary/tube defects
    3.Genetics
    4.MFI (male factor)

    1st I had a ton of labs tested. Including my karyotyping. Next I had exams to see what my uterus looked like. Since we found a septum, the only other testing I ended up doing was in relation to the septum.

    Thank you ladies for your info. I will check out the blog and take notes.

    I have not had any tests run yet. They did test my first loss and feel like it was chromosomal.
