I have been more lurking than posting lately- mainly because I spend so much time on mobile and TB mobile is kind of a pain. But the weather here reached 80 degrees yesterday (though it is barley 60 degrees today) and it got me thinking about summer....and a summer themed GTKY. Who's game?

Favorite summer food: melons: watermelon, honey dew, cataloupe
Favorite summer drink: anything ice cold and refreshing, especially ICEEs
Favorite summer activity: hanging out near the pool, river, or lake
Favorite summer song: I don't have a favorite, but I do like reggae because it reminds me of the beach.
Summer activity you love to do/can't wait to do with your LO(s): Well it's already been hot enough here that we bought season passes for the water park. That is so fun and definitely one of our favorite things to do!
Best/worst summer job: worst was Pizza Hut, it's absolutely horrible to be standing next to a 450 degree oven during the summer

Best/worst summer job: Best- Summer camp counselor at my childhood camp
Recommend a beach read: I read Back Bay by William Martin two summers ago at the beach and really liked it. That was the last time I read at the beach.

Summer activity: there's a beautiful heron preserve by our house that we love to walk through

Worst summer job: I worked at a deli and hated it.
Best summer job: I was a secretary at a painting company. Easy enough and air conditioned.
Summer activity I can't wait to do with LO: trying out her backyard pool with her little swimsuit!
Beach read: The Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella.

Favorite summer song: I tend to lean towards country as well, something about the beat makes me smile.

Best/worst summer job: Expiediting at a catering company, good pay and free lunch everyday!

Summer activity you love to do/can't wait to do with your LO(s): We just moved last year to a home 1.5 miles from the ocean, I can't wait to take him.
Best/worst summer job: I worked for 5 years in fast food through high school and college.It was a miserable job. Best was working in a movie theater, it was chill and I got to watch movies!

Recommend a beach read: I need to go look at my Goodreads, but off the top of my head, I guess the Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarity (sp?). I was an easy read and okay book.

#1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
#2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14

Favorite summer food: Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes, and corn on the cob! Oh, and tomatoes, lol! Especially picked right off the vine in my garden and eaten right there, still warm from the sun. Sigh... can't wait!
Favorite summer drink: Beer- wheat beers or shandy's are great summer beers, margaritas, mojitos. And sun tea- by the gallon, lol!
Favorite summer activity: Working in my garden, swimming, camping, going to the farmer's market (though I work there now, lol)

Recommend a beach read: Meh, I wouldn't pick something to read/ not read based solely on where I'm going. So, just about anything. But I'm especially fond of murder mysteries.
Favorite summer food: All fruits - especially peaches and BBQ (burgers/hot dogs)
Favorite summer drink: Sangria (although I drink it throughout the year)
Favorite summer activity: Swimming, traveling

Best/worst summer job: The only real summer job I held was a lifeguard. It was a lot of fun!
Recommend a beach read: I can't recommend anything. I have not had time to read for fun in a long time.

Summer activity you love to do/can't wait to do with your LO(s): Get her an adorable little swimsuit and hat and go swim in Nana's pool...also going to the beach with her.
Best/worst summer job: My first job was at a city pool. I loved it, I got a great tan and I loved working some place so casual. My worst summer job was the summers I worked at Staples. The job itself was fine, but having to put on pants and a polo and real shoes (I love flip flops) and be inside all day on a beautiful summer day, dealing with crappy office supplies.
Recommend a beach read: I can't read well when there are people to watch, so probably something that doesn't require much thought, like Twilight or 50 shades.
