NBR: resignation

I am taking a new job at a school that is closer to my home. I need to turn my resignation into my principal on Monday. What does a resignation need to say?

I wrote one years ago, but it was in a different career field, and I honestly don't remember what I said.

Re: NBR: resignation

  • I would just go in and talk to your principal and they can walk you through anything you may need to do. Honestly, I don't think any of the teachers in my school that resigned wrote any formal resignation they just went in and talked with admin.

  • Agree with @Kari5186. Even if its not required at all my jobs, I made one up and took it just for formality purposes.

I already let him know what's going on, but we have to give a written resignation in my district.

Yep, I decided to Google. Short and sweet it is.
  • I'm a teacher, and I had to do this a couple of years ago. Since you've already talked to your principal, just keep it short and sweet. Give your end date of work, thank them for allowing you to work there for however many years, and leave it at that.
