I am excited to learn who won and watch after. I've had trouble watch in live racing since I saw Barbaro breakdown. A mare I rode broke her leg in the same way so now it's more not fun anxious than exciting.
I'm remembering the days of the infield today. I live in Baltimore and my dad is an owner/trainer of race horses so this event has always been a big deal for my family.
I will be staying away from the park heights area in Baltimore today. Traffic is going to be crazy. I got caught down there during Preakness one year and it took forever to get home.
I'm a sinner saved by grace and a child of the Attitude Era (Oh you didn't know?!?)

I went to a local horse race and a horse broke it's leg on the jump right in front of me. It wasn't even my horse and I sobbed. I can understand this
My sister just rehabbed an ex racehorse and sold it to a girl who had made a mistake judging the distance to a fence and her horse snapped his neck and died because of it. That poor girl, I can't even imagine!
