Tonight I was face timing with my mom while DD was having dinner. Now that she eats real food I tend to cut it up and dump it on the high chair tray. My mom asked why she didn't have a fork. That question confused me. Are we at the point where we should be teaching them utensils? Am I setting her back behaviorally by letting her eat with her hands?

I am not concerned with teaching A about spoons or forks yet. There is plenty of time for that.
I also just bought self feeding spoons and "forks" to use bc he was using the long handled spoons and it made it somewhat hard to put the spoon in his mouth.
