Hey ladies. I apologize for the short check-in when everyone has so much going on with there pregnancies. We're off to some garage sales this morning so I'll be checking in with everyone later. Hugs to all of you ladies. I couldn't have made it through this pregnancy without all of you amazing woman.

This is the weekly June '14 PgAL check-in. This is a place for anyone due June 2014 that has suffered a previous pregnancy loss. PgAL is an exciting but scary place so please feel free to share your thoughts, concerns, milestones and vents. Mostly, this check-in is to remind all of us that we are not alone in the journey and to offer support along the way. Check-in is every Saturday.

I had my baby yesterday after unexpectedly going into labor. I didn't have a labor buddy because I'm not the most active on the board but I'm still going to post a little birth story when I get my laptop later today.

Hi ladies. I'm new here. We lost our daughter to a cord knot on her due date in November of 2012. I'm only sorry I'm just now discovering this thread!

How far along are you? 35w6d

Team / Name? Blue / We're keeping it a secret.

What do you still have left to prep? One last load of laundry (which I'm doing this morning) and finishing up arranging everything in the nursery.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I'm doing pretty well physically-- trying to stay nice and active to encourage him to arrive on the earlier side of full term rather than later. Emotionally, I have better and worse days, but today we're having gorgeous weather and I'm feeling optimistic.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Based upon our history, I'm going to the hospital weekly for non-stress tests and scans and I start my weekly doctor's appointments this week as well. Thursdays are consumed by seeing doctors.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I feel like my OBGYN wants to induce me as soon as I'm full-term just to get the waiting over (there have been no medical problems at all this pregnancy). I'm hoping to have a natural birth unless there is some reason not to. I guess I'm scared that my wanting to be logical and not make purely emotionally scared decisions might not be the right choice.

Any baby awesomeness this week? They will measure him at the scan this week, and I can't wait to see how big he is.

How far along are you? 35w2d

What do you still have left to prep? Just a few last minute things left to buy, gas drops, some breastfeeding supplies. Bag is mostly packed, car seat install practice completed. (we are going to do actual install just before going to hospital, they will check it there before we leave) Now just to wait!

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically, tired and sore at times but all in all I'm pretty blessed to feel so good. Emotionally finally feeling like we are ready for her to arrive!

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? On thursday we had an uneventful appointment with good NST, cervical check showing only a fingertip dilated and completed the GBS culture. I will have my 36w ultrasound this coming Thursday, so will have more news next check in

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Surprisingly feeling chill and ready, whatever happens, happens. I'm certain that this feeling won't last and I will have a meltdown just prior to her arrival.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Just active baby all the time, but I think that I may have dropped a little in the last day or 2.

What do you still have left to prep? The nursery is almost done. It was supposed to be done last weekend, but H got sick on Sunday.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? My feet and hands are incredibly huge and hurt so bad. I am so uncomfortable but, that's to be expected.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? NST and BPP Monday. Baby is scoring perfect on the tests he is still big and my fluid is still high. Doctor sent me for a 3 hr and that sucked. He mentioned that it is probably too late to do anything about the size of the baby but it's good knowledge to have for delivery. Has anyone heard of GD making a difference for delivery?

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I'm just nervous for birth and mothering.

Any baby awesomeness this week? I just love to see his sweet chubby face on the 3D ultrasound. He has such a sweet face!

Hmm...I don't have much to add. I just can't believe we are at this point. It is so surreal that we will have babies in just a few short weeks.

Hey ladies this will be a quick update. But we had an exciting week. Tuesday I hit 36 weeks - everything was good. Wednesday I felt off and I seemed to be leaking some sort of extra fluid. Finally called the OB- they made me go into LD. I wasn't leaking amnio but I was having contractions . Which I hadn't really felt. Well after 3 hrs of monitoring I was at 2cm and progressing quickly. We ended up having an emergany c-section Wednesday night.
Connor had some breathing issues and gass been in the NICU since delivery - but is doing great

What do you still have left to prep? Finish packing the bag and getting a few more things out. She wasn't going to have a nursery in this house since we are moving soon after, but I decided last weekend that she *needed* one. We cleared out the office and she now has her own room. Makes me feel a little more prepared, even though I know she won't really be sleeping there.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Ok. Still really nervous about her getting here safely and nervous about being away from DS while I'm in the hospital. Ready to be done with work and off my feet. I feel good when I don't have to stand all day, so hopefully my last day of work for awhile is soon!

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Last appt is next Friday and RCS the following week!

Any baby awesomeness this week? She is getting so big! 7lb. 4oz. this week. I guess she will be a little smaller than DS since he was measuring that big a few weeks earlier.

What do you still have left to prep? Everything! Actually we finally got the nursery cleaned out today, so all that's left in there is actual baby stuff. H has to put together the crib, but otherwise it's livable, just not totally decorated. We have a few things. I also have newborn clothes sitting out in the sun, hoping that will take the spit up stains out - if not I'll try Oxyclean, and if that doesn't work I won't save the stained ones. I loved Lucia's little newborn clothes, so I'd like to reuse them.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I'm definitely getting to that uncomfortable point near the end. But still 5 or so weeks to go, so I'm trying not to dwell on it!

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I have my next every 2 week appt on Tuesday. It should be pretty uneventful.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I'm nervous about getting everything ready on time! But getting some done today has helped my nerves somewhat.

Any baby awesomeness this week? She's as adorably wiggly as always. So different from my first. I cannot wait to meet her! In other news, my SIL had a baby this week, and we got to go to the hospital to meet her. I couldn't even believe how tiny she was, and it got me so excited to have Viviana!

I am so excited that we are getting so close. It's wonderful to know that we're getting to the point where even if people go into labor, there aren't the same concerns as there would have been even a few weeks ago. I love that these babies are getting so much bigger and ready for the world!

What do you still have left to prep? Finish packing labor bag, get baby stuff (including car seats) from downstairs, make padsicles, make freezer meals (if time permits)!

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically, I'm sick (as in, I have a cold). I have been sick literally every month this PG, so this is just my May illness. Better this than PreE as my husband reminds me.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? 37 week appointment is Monday. This appointment is the point at which my BP was first measured high with DS, so if it's normal at this appointment, that will be a big step for me. So far, I've been mointering it at home and it's been perfect

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I'm pretty scared of the second (pushing) stage of labor because it was very difficult with my son. I had a good conversation with my MW about it last week and she was reassuring that it will go better this time (as a STM).

Any baby awesomeness this week? She does a little dance in my tummy every morning, and DH and I have taken to just lying in bed together with his hands on my stomach feeling her move. So sweet!

What do you still have left to prep? Wash clothes, last minutes baby items, mattress, and second car seat base.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Nervous. It's becoming very real that he is gonna have to come out soon.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Dr. Checked my cervix and I'm 50% effaced. Go back on Friday for another check.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Really don't want my water to break at work, even though I would only be 5mins from the hospital. Also everyone keeps telling me second babies come faster so if I go into labor at home we are an hour from our hospital.

Any baby awesomeness this week? He's been very active, so it's fun watching my belly take different shapes.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
Pulled and all nighter in L&D last night because of abdominal pain. Turns out I was also contracting but only 2 or 3 times and hour. They finally sent us home around 6:30am. I've never been so tired. The LO kept setting off all the bells and alarms on the monitor and had me a bit worried.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share?
Baby is big. Really really big. Measuring over 9 pounds already and not moving as much this week so starting Tuesday I'll have 2 NSTs a week plus and ultrasound with out high risk OB. I am ready to meet this guy and can't wait for him to egg here. We have a CS scheduled for June 6th but OB thinks he may come sooner.

I just want him to be healthy and I thought as the delivery got closer I would feel more assured but there is always something to worry about. But we are in good hands. I just want him to be here and be healthy. I'm impatient :-) and did I mention he's 9 pounds? Ouch.

Just our adventures at L&D. This kid dodges those monitors like it's his job. I'm guessing his favorite game will be hide and seek. Also, got a fun 3D pic of him at our last appt. he looks pretty squished and pissed about it. It's adorable.

People from work threw me a shower on Friday so I have to sort through the items and put them away.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Feeling pretty good! Had a prenatal massage (mother's day present from DH) today and it felt amazing to lay on my stomach and be pampered!

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Had an appt this past Wednesday and the placenta is out of the way- yay! The sonographer gave us an idea of where it was and I can't beleive how huge this thing is! We had a 3D scan of the babe and I've included a pic to share.

After reading the "excessive amniotic fluid" post it got me worried since at my last appt this was the report. Any STM that experienced this? I'm not exactly sure what my # is, but the thought of stillbirth because of this is lingering in my mind. The tech and my OB did not seem to be concerned, but i am of course can't stop thinking about it!

What do you still have left to prep? Mostly everything lol. SIL gave us a crib and a stroller and a friend got a buzzy chair.
How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Tired! Friday was my last day at work, I thought I could work the next three weeks until my surgery but I am on antibiotics again for chest congestion and I hurt my back again this week. So my chiro out me out even though my ob refused to. They are trying to convince me to come in another week, but honestly as a teacher I don't think I would be any good for the kids. I'm in a lot of pain and cranky and antibiotics don't agree with me

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Just my weekly on Tuesday. I had a growth scan last week and they estimated the baby at 5lbs 6 oz. Good thing I'm a rcs BC I think he's going to be a big baby!
Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? My advisees (students) threw me a baby shower this Friday. Totally unexpected and so cute they made me cry. They got a few adorable outfits for the baby, (his first clothes!) pizza and cake and they even decorated my classroom it was the cutest thing ever.
Any baby awesomeness this week?
He turned down from being breech. I hadn't had a sonogram since my 20 week so it was so good to see him! I didn't get any pics BC of his position he's down and facing me but his body looks like a little football!! The shape with the back and the vertebrae looked just like a football! And he's so big I said my little meatball is becoming a meatloaf

Okay, I have to share how I got stains out of a bunch of clothes! I put a ton of Oxyclean in the bathtub and soaked them overnight. It was MIRACULOUS. Seriously. (I blogged about it here.) I'm so glad I tried salvaging all those clothes!

What do you still have left to prep? Just getting out the NB clothes and putting them in the closet, taking the car to a place to check how the car seats are installed, and a bunch of stuff I want to take care of before baby (eye doctor, some car repairs, etc - just boring errands!)

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Like I shared last week, one of my closest friends lost her baby at 37 weeks last Friday. The funeral was this week and it was heartwrenching. It's affecting me as her friend, as a mom, and as a pregnant woman. So awful. SO. Everything else sort of pales in comparison to those feelings. I'm not feeling GREAT, but I'd rather be achy than not pregnant.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Just the GBS test in a week, then I think an u/s to see positioning? Hoping he's head down and healthy.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Oh, the fears of the first part of pregnancy are coming back where I feel like getting a baby out of this isn't a certainty anymore. I think it's PGAL PTSD brought up from stillborn baby. I also have started to get a little weepy about my son not being my only baby anymore.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Lots and lots of rolling and kicking and moving. Keep it up, baby!

Just random, but I sort of love when people predict the sex of my baby and are wrong. Had a lady tell me at the frozen yogurt place today I MUST be having a girl because of how I'm carrying. Ha!

How far along are you? 36+2

What do you still have left to prep? EVERYTHING. Seriously, never buy a house and move in when you're 8 almost 9 months pregnant.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Emotionally, incredibly overwhelmed with everything I still have to do and the thought that she could come at any point and I wouldn't be ready. Physically, I feel like I've finally hit a wall. I have NO energy to do anything which makes my 'To Do' list that much more overwhelming.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Had my first check last Wednesday and the dr said the baby's head was right there but I have started progressing. I have my next weekly appointment on Wednesday.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? As it gets closer to the end, my anxiety has been increasing again. I worry that since it is so close, that I don't want anything to happen... It doesn't help that I don't feel the baby very much. Which, it's not like she's not moving, it's that I just don't feel her move. My dr did a NST last week because I was worried about movement and the little stinker was moving so much they had a hard time getting the heart monitor to pick up her heartbeat. I told the nurse that I didn't feel all that movement she was telling me about and I asked if that was weird... she didn't really say anything. Obviously, it wasn't too concerning because she didn't say anything to the dr. and was oddly comforting that she was ok and that I couldn't feel her. But I would feel a lot better if I did feel all that movement.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Nothing new.

What do you still have left to prep? Nearly everything. We finally have our heater installed and attic cleaned, so we moved the stuff that was in the kid's room to the attic. Now we need to finish spot painting the kid's room, buy a crib, buy furniture for the kid's room, buy a changing area, buy clothes & diapers, & whatever else we need for diapering. And anything else that I'm forgetting other than a carseat. At least we have a carseat! And we installed it yesterday! Oh I also need to pack my bag. And I wanted to make some meals to freeze. Good thing this is my last week at work . . . .

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I'm starting to get less comfortable while sleeping. My belly just feels like it's pulling and pushing uncomfortably. But I've kept up my exercise and feeling pretty good during the day, except for tired. Emotionally I'm starting to get excited, but also a little anxious about how much we have left to do.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Negative on GBS! Baby is head down, and my doctor estimates that he'll be about 7 lbs at birth!

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Luckily my fears seem to be waning. I think I've had so much time and effort put into worrying, my brain seems to be worried out. I'm hoping to stay "in the zone" until baby gets here!

amwangel: Every single person who has guessed my baby's sex (and there has probably been about 8-10 of them) has correctly guessed that he's a boy. I guess I must have the classic boy carry, or something.

I'm looking forward to hearing that everyone's babies have arrived safe and sound!!

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Emotionally getting nervous and impatient.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I have an appointment tomorrow (5-18) as a follow up from an L&D visit saturday for severe itching. Hoping to find out I'm just crazy and it's not anything serious like cholestasis.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I'm mostly excited, but I'm worried about labor going well and baby being healthy.

Any baby awesomeness this week? He is finally staying head down!

@amwangel - I was so saddened to hear about your dear friend. Its just a reminder that we are never really safe.

What do you still have left to prep? My mind and the fact that I'll have two living, breathing human beings that I am responsible for. Its mind blowing. I still need to make more labels for DH. I label all of the dresser drawers to alleviate his frustration (and ultimately mine) when he can't find stuff.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I feel fine on and off depending on how low she is at the time. Emotionally I've been all over the place. Her patterns of movement and times of when she is awake and asleep are constantly changing and sending me into a panic. The doppler has been so handy these last few weeks and the doctor said to come in anytime if I am worried.

Thank you so much ladies for participating every week. I'm not very active on the board so this really makes me feel like I am part of a community of such kind, soft-hearted ladies. I hate the fact that we all share PGAL in common but so glad that we have each other.

What do you still have left to prep? I am officially ready for LO. DD went to build a bear yesterday to build her brother a bear for when he arrives...So cute. She is very excited now

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I am ok this week. I just want to take it easy these last two weeks...but I know that will not happen.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I had my BPP and NST done yesterday...and what do you know LO didn't practice breathing in the 30 minutes allowed. So I have to repeat everything tomorrow. The NST was perfect...I think he is just stubborn

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I am terrified to be induced. Don't get me wrong I have been induced twice and I know what to expect but because I have a date to go in to be induced I think I had more time to think of what is to come. I JUST WANT MY BABY BOY TO COME HOME:)

Any baby awesomeness this week? He is still head down and I have started to dilate....I just hope I continue to dilate so I don't have to have the cirvidil. But the Dr says a lot can happen between now and two weeks.
