Hi! I have heard such entertaining things about this board so I had to come lurk for a while, and you seem like a pretty cool bunch, so I would like to stay, if you'll have me! I am a FTM due in July. I teach preschool and DH is working on a second Bachelor's degree while going through Air Force ROTC so he'll be an officer in a year. We've been married 3 years and together for over 9 (high school sweethearts), and we are pretty over the moon about this kid! So what do you think, can I be your friend?

Ha! The hill to die on thread is what sold me. I wasn't into Benedict Cumberbatch until I watched Sherlock and now I heart him. Are soft pants a special thing I don't know about or are they literally just pants that are soft? I always return shopping carts and I get angry when people don't. I don't know how I feel about one kid in a two seater...do they offer one seaters? I have died on hills over marriage equality, young marriage shaming ("you're so YOUNG, don't you want to live your LIFE first?!"), and racism (especially against Middle Easterners; I got into it on Facebook with my dad's friend who thinks all Muslims are terrorists). Do I pass?

Yay! Haha re: HP, that shiz is my childhood/young adulthood. I went to the midnight book releases and my best friend and I stayed up all night and took turns reading them aloud to each other so we wouldn't get ahead of each other. I can also do a pretty convincing Moaning Myrtle impression, not to brag or anything....

More power to anyone who wants to do it, but it's super uncomfortable to me. I don't really have a favorite band...I'm terrible at remembering artists' names, I just know songs that I like. Although I guess as I'm typing this I'm remembering that I've been on a Maroon 5 kick ever since Adam started on The Voice. And lately I'm kind of into Train.
