Talk to me about a sciatic and leg pain

Two days ago I had this horrible pain in my right leg. It wasn't sharp, it was more like a terrible ache. I put my legs up my nothing really made the pain better other than my husband rubbing my leg. That only gave a little relief though. It was my right leg that hurt the most. The pain went from my ankle up to my hip. Yesterday it was better but still hurt a little. Today I would say it hurts more than yesterday but not as bad as the first day. I've never had sciatic pain, is it sharp or more like ache? Is anyone else experiencing anything like this?

    My sciatic pain usually starts in the upper right section of my butt and radiates down my right leg. They say the chiropractor can help. I have never had it hang around so long or so bad that I needed that. The most I usually do is some stretches you can find on the internet and using an ice-pack on that upper portion of my butt.

    I hope you find some relief!

    Mine starts on the one side of my tailbone and radiates down, but everyone's is a little different. Some days I don't have it at all and other days I can't get it to go away. My OB said if it gets really bad we can talk about physical therapy, but most of the time it goes away after the baby shifts. Apparently I did the exact same thing to my mom, so I guess this is karma.

    Mines starts in the middle of my left butt cheek and radiates to about knee level. Very sharp. Usually after walking a long time and sometimes when I get up to pee at night. Once baby moves its all better. I have a bad time with it about one day every Two weeks. I really think its her placement. But when its there I hate my life and everyone in it lol

    Usually it's caused by a tight muscle called the piriformis, which lies beneath your glutes. You can stretch it by putting one ankle over the other knee and then lean forward. Massage and chiropractic really help too!

    I had a shooting pain from my right hip area to my knee. Only on the right side. I could not get out of bed without crying. Sitting down on the toilet was fun too. H has even had to help me flip over in bed.
    I am blaming the mattress we are using atm since it started this week and it only acts up at night. 
    I have taken to sleeping on the couch until H gets our mattress out of storage. Tylenol, heating pad, massage, and pelvic tilts have helped me.

    Yeah mine doesn't really shoot down from my hip. Maybe it's not sciatic. I'm going to try the chiropractor Monday. Hopefully that helps. I hope you all find some relief too!
