I've been a lurker for awhile on TB. I have an almost 9-month old, and I get so sad watching him turn into a little boy. I know babies don't stay little for long, but it's really eating at me. Little things like how he doesn't want to cuddle as much, he would rather be down on the floor exploring, or... how he doesn't need me AS much anymore. It's just sad. I look at pictures from when he was tiny and get a little teary eyed. Okay, he was never tiny, he was almost 9 lbs at birth, but you know what I mean!
Am I alone in this?

Also, for some reason, being done with TTC makes me feel much older all of sudden.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
DD1 is and was a spirited high needs kiddo so her time as a baby was difficult.
DD2 is so sweet and laid back that we are enjoying every single moment.
I'm sad because we were wanting 3 but are done because of health issues. It is also exciting because I haven't slept well in 3 years.
It doesn't help she is our only.
You bitches just wait until the day they want you to stop giving them kisses. Just wait. Yeah I went there.
Are you saying it's possible 3 will not make me want to run away and join the circus?!
While she tests limits she is also so much fun at this age.
But I don't think I ever really earned my stripes with this kid. He's been easy in pretty much everything. Except potty training. We're back in diapers. Maybe that awful week will earn me a good year 3.
I can't get the ticker to work, but I have two sons:

That being said, as DS has been learning to talk he's had some really cute made up words and I'm sad to see them go. He used to call cats "mobpf" and it made me a little sad when he started calling them cats again.
DS will be done with first grade in a few weeks and I get choked up each time it's mentioned. When did my baby boy become a kid?! When he reads to me, I tear up. He rarely notices and when he does I just tell him that I love listening to him read.
DD is becoming so independent and talking up a storm. I'm going to miss the blabbering.
It's one if those things about motherhood that you can't prepare for.
