It's after 7 and C is still sleeping!!! Apparently fly getting five vials of blood drawn makes a two year old sleepy. Today we pick up our new couch and dh's fave aunt and uncle are in town so we get to see them as well should be a great day even with this nasty rain!

We are finally going on the hospital tour today! We work this morning so I hope we don't have too many patients so we can get out of there on time.

We're taking DS to this Touch-A-Truck event downtown today. Tons of trucks set up in a big parking lot for kiddos to climb in... he's going to lose his mind! I also plan on forcing my DH to take us to breakfast while we're down there. There's this amazing diner that we eat at maybe once per year, but it legit has the best breakfasts in Pittsburgh. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Oh and also, I lost my mucus plug this morning. My H was thankful that I didn't leave it on the bathroom floor for him this time around.

There's nothing better than when the kids sleep longer than you! Mine was up at 5:45 and thought it was go time... he was less than thrilled when I sent him back to bed.

Today is my shower! My sister has been teasing me about what they have planned so I'm really excited to see what they ended up doing. I'm bummed that DHs grandmother won't be there (she had complications on a routine surgery on Tuesday), so we'll be going to visit her after the shower in the hospital if she's up for visitors.

I'm getting a mani/pedi with my hairstylist this morning. I don't treat myself often, so I'm really excited. It's been on my calendar for months haha. This weekend we'll do last minute prep for baby too!

I've been in some pain this past week, after my 3 12 hour shifts. My parents surprised us and cut our yard. My mom said she will be back to help clean up around the house. I feel like I can't get this house clean enough and am so thankful for my mom being such a huge help!

Last night we went to dinner and or waitress gave us free "birthday" dessert for the baby. She was friendly about it because she told us she just found out she was pregnant too.

And now I'm still laying in bed while DH went to go get donuts. So Yay to all the yummy food.

My older girls have a soccer game in a bit. Then my MIL is coming over to sleepover with the girls. We are headed to a hotel on the river walk for our anniversary (which is tmwr)!!! Couples massages followed by an awesome steakhouse with a wine acrobat. Now if I could only drink!!

The rain stopped and I'm sitting on my deck in the sun enjoying some quiet time. There's plenty to get done inside the house but this sunshine is too good to miss. Planning a nice walk with the dog later.

Tomorrow is my first baby shower! My mom got cake from the bakery that made my wedding cake and is making my favorite punch that we usually only have at holidays. I can't wait!

We went on our tour and our hospital has a new L&D and mother baby unit and it is awesome!! I did get a little overwhelmed and excited and totally cried on the tour (yup I am that person). Then after we picked up some tie dye and tie dyed a bunch of onesies, I will share pics later. It has been a good Saturday even though we had to work this morning.

I just finished hosting my sisters baby shower. She is due nine weeks after me. We made quilt squares for a baby quilt and they turned out perfect! The whole shower went awesome and I'm so excited for her!
Also I took yesterday off so I have a three day weekend and I'm so glad I still have tomorrow to relax. Hoping to finish the nursery!

Today was a special day :-). I got to sleep in super late. Then, I did my baby sister's makeup and took photos for her senior prom. In the evening, I went to a gender reveal for one of my best friends ever (her first!), and found out she is having a BOY!! I am so happy for her.

I'm too damn emotional today. MIL came over and first thing she said was my face looks swollen and poofy. I responded "Thanks...I'm just getting fat" She was a bit flustered by that and left pretty quickly. I felt so bad afterwards because she is a sweet lady and I know she didn't mean to hurt my feelings. Being on bedrest I don't see many people, and I swear every time someone comes over their first comment is about how shitty I look. Ended up calling MIL and apologizing and she was sorry too. Ugly cried for awhile afterwards.

Had my baby shower today! My sister and my mom did a great job, I was surprised by my cousin who just had her gall bladder out (and wasn't supposed to make it to the baby shower) and my friend who I was worried about stayed the whole time and was really involved. We got a lot of great stuff we needed and I can't wait to set it all up for LO. This little girl is already spoiled. And DH and I went to visit his grandma in the hospital and she was very alert and was able to have a full conversation with us and DHs parents while we were there

@CAMag‌ - I was the only one too! I tried to play it off like I had something in my eye. I was holding it together until the lady pulled down the baby Murphy bed and got so overwhelmed that Murphy (our babies name) would be in that little Murphy bed haha

Earlier this week hubs decided to sleep in our guest room so he could actually SLEEP. I was kind of sad bc I missed the comfort of him there at night. Last night I was in bed and he crawled in with me. He said if he didn't have to get up for work why wouldn't he sleep with me. I slept so horribly last night, but it's such a comfort to wake up to his arms around me. I love this man.

We finished a lot of baby stuff this weekend and the nursery is now 99% done! I just have to put some artwork in the frames. The house is as picked up as it's gonna be and I only have one more freezer meal I'd like to make. I'm putting on my big girl panties as well and working on our birth plan today. Woot!
