6 weeks, little to no pregnancy symptoms

edited May 2014 in 1st Trimester
So I took a home pregnancy test, and went to the doctor, both positive. I am 6 weeks pregnant today. I'm not really feeling any different, which is making me worry!
My boobs were sore for about a week, but now not so much. I'm not feeling nauseous at all and I dont feel like I'm even peeing more often. The only thing that seems different is that I'm tired all the time.
Anyone else not have any symptoms and have everything turn out ok?
It just feels weird to tell people I'm pregnant when I almost dont believe it myself.

Re: 6 weeks, little to no pregnancy symptoms

  • Week 6 was a walk in the park for me, both this pregnancy and with my daughter.

Now, week 8, I've had one solid meal that I managed to keep down  (which was a bowl of cucumber and rice noodles, so 'solid' is a relative term here) in 3 days, and a banana here and there, symptoms come and go. Honestly.. if you make it through the first trimester without nausea, you should be praising any and all the gods lol don't worry, you may wake up tomorrow to horrible morning sickness and boob pain.. or you may not, either way is not an indication of a healthy or non healthy pregnancy

  • Oh honey, the pee.  It. Will. Come.  Having every pregnancy symptom under the sun does not a normal pregnancy make.  Enjoy these moments while they last.

Symptoms don't mean anything. This is pregnancy #3 for me (previous results 1 healthy kiddo & 1 m/c @ 9.5w). I've never had much for symptoms with any of my pregnancies.

  • I had almost no symptoms my entire pregnancy. Baby girl is healthy and due in July!

  • I know it can be nerve-wracking, but do your best to distract yourself and try to go with the idea that unless proven otherwise, everything is fine (I know, I know, easier said than done).  I didn't really have many symptoms at all the first few weeks.  Now that I'm finishing the first trimester/starting the second, I actually feel worse than I did before.  Every woman is different, and like PP have said, symptoms do not equal pregnancy health just as lack of symptoms don't mean that anything is wrong.  Congrats on your pregnancy!

  • Why are pregnant women so obsessed with having symptoms? Jeez. Just be happy you aren't puking your brains out all day.
  • I can give you all my symptoms if you want? They never go away, you get about 61 symptoms, & I'll even throw in my puke bucket!  :-&

ugh I wish we could trade out for real. You are so very lucky. I would like to have one day where I don't feel like someone stuffed me in their booty hole :((
  • I was JUST thinking this.  I've been pregnant three other times.  With all three, I was DEAD tired and my boobs hurt really bad.  That's when I knew I had to take a test.  We miscarried our third pregnancy at 20 weeks.  With this one, I have almost NOTHING.  I felt the same way....maybe something was wrong.  My only symptom is my lower back hurts and I'm super emotional.  Everyone tells me not to complain but I've always had the reassurance that I had external signs that I was pregnant.  U/S on Tuesday.  Can't wait to see it!
  • I had a couple of days last week that I wasn't feeling pregnant. My symptoms just went away overnight.....for a couple of days. I was totally freaked out and was certain that my baby had died (but it was totally fine).   Symptoms came back within a few days and now I'm wishing I could go back to the good old days of no symptoms!!

It seems that the symptoms come and go.  Hang in there and try to relax, though I know it isn't easy.
