Uneven stomach

Hello! I'm 8 weeks PP from my 2nd c section. I've noticed a few weeks ago that the left side of my stomach is more protruded than the right side. I brought it up to my OBGYN and she did an exam and found nothing wrong. Brought it up to my primary doctor and she did an exam and felt for a hernia but didn't feel anything. I'm reaching out in hopes that someone has experienced this.

TIA!

Re: Uneven stomach

  • My right side protruded further than my left foot a little while and it ended up being the side I was closed up on. Do you know which side they finished on?

To be clear, this was at my incision point and a little higher. My doctor said it was because you're closed in layers and that's just how things shifted for me. I can still feel a very slight bulge at 17 months post cesarean. Could this be what you're experiencing?

  • Are you talking about your incision point or your actual stomach? I noticed the right side of my stomach was a bit higher/tilted larger than my left side and that is the side baby favored while in the womb - he always pushed his legs and feet out that side and my stomach was larger on that side. I noticed this side of my stomach was a bit larger after birth for the first 6 weeks and then it went back to normal now at 7.5 weeks now that I started working out again at the 5 week point post c section.
  • I was closed up on my left side and the bulge is aligned with my belly button. I had bad gas and stomach pain last night and it must've been a half inch more protruded than the other side. Thanks for your input!

  • Sounds more like recti diastasis... Look up a girdle.. Not near as bad as it sounds. It's equivelant to spanx and will allow tummy to heal without as much gravity working agains you
