How long did it take you to get pregnant?

It's been very easy for us to get pregnant, not so easy to stay pregnant. With DS we NTNP for a month and boom pregnant. With my first MC we tried for 2 months then were pregnant on the second month/cycle. The second MC I got pregnant right after the first MC. Then this time we got pregnant on the second month/cycle of trying.

How long did it take you to get pregnant? Did you use any medical interventions to help?

I went off birth control on May 2013 and started charting. We were trying to time our pregnancy to a certain time of the year for me, but we had no idea if we would be successful or not. We actually started "trying" in October. Got pregnant in December.

For DS it took 10 months with charting and a scheduled trip to a fertility specialist and we found out we were expecting before the appointment. This time, we started trying in July, did three rounds of clomid starting in October and found out in January we were expecting. So six-ish months the second time, but it would ahve been longer without the Clomid.

So, we weren't necessarily trying to conceive, however DH and I got to a point where we both mutually decided that "what happens, happens" at some point, and stopped using contraceptives. We made that decision in about March of 2013 and conceived in late December. I will go ahead and also point out I was highly irregular though (we did make a point of attempting to avoid times where I would be super fertile)... I'm not sure if my response fits your question, but I thought I'd throw my hat in.

4 cycles/5 months. No medical intervention but we charted with FertilityFriend, used preseed and acupuncture (history of long cycles).

With DS1, we got pregnant on cycle 2. I got pregnant again the first time we tried, but miscarried. After that, it took 11 cycles to get pregnant with DS2. I had an HSG done and got pregnant the next cycle. With DS3, I got pregnant on cycle 2 again.

I got pregnant the first month off birth control in May. After the MMC we started trying again in September and got pregnant in December. Both times, actively trying but not temping.

4 months after coming off BC. Wasn't temping and cycles weren't typical so wasn't sure when I would O, so we were only half serious at that point. Were going away at the end of Jan. to Hawaii and thought after that we would get more serious. Found out three days before we left LOL!

Got pregnant the second cycle trying (using ovulation predictors) with DS. This time it took 6 cycles over 5 months of earnest trying (OPKs and charting, I was way irregular). Threw in some PreSeed the 6th cycle and that was the one that we caught it. Not sure if it really helped or if it was just chance.

I was taken off of birth control in my late teens due to some medical issues, so I have always been very careful about keeping track of every cycle and being ultra careful about other forms of protection, including complete abstaining during the middle 2 weeks of my cycle - just in case. It always worked up until this time. My doctor thinks I must have ovulated twice in the cycle that got us pregnant, or that I just ovulated extremely early, because based on my dating ultrasound, we conceived the day after my 3 day period ended, which is incredibly unusual considering I have 34+ day cycles.

On top of that miracle, I had a Leep procedure done when I was in my late teens to remove cancerous cervical cells, and was told that it would be difficult to maintain a pregnancy. So, all in all, we are feeling thankful for this pregnancy!

Both DS and this LO were conceived on cycle 2 after we decided to start trying. I was very surprised it happened that fast my Mom and older sister had a hard time getting pregnant so I was expecting it to take longer.

ETA: I have never been on BC (used condoms for contraception) and have always had very regular cycles.

I went off BC for 5 months and started charting and eating low carb. We didnt have sex during the windows to conceive or we did other things besides intercourse for thsoe 5 months.

We finally decided one night that we were going to start actively trying.

I got pregnant that that exact night haha.

We started TTC in April 2013, but got more active charting in June 2013, we got pregnant in August 2013 and had a MC in October. This time around we had to wait until my HcG levels were low and I had one complete cycle in Nov and we got pregnant in early December finding out on Christmas Day!

We weren't really trying when I got pregnant last year. Lost that LO at almost 9 weeks. Started "trying" again in August. We weren't very diligent though and I didn't temp. The cycle I got pregnant, we did it ONE day of that cycle. DH was still a little shocked that I got KU and kept saying, "We only did it one time!" Lol.

Decided in August 2013 that we would wait one more cycle of BC to stop. Officially was off BC pills as of October 1, 2013 and had two cycles before I got pregnant in December 2013, but I was temping since October and using OPKs since November. DH was still surprised it went that quickly.

With DS I went off BC in Sept and we started trying same month I got pregnant in Nov. This one I stopped BC in Aug for other reasons, we had a discussion in Nov about starting to try for #2 and I got pregnant in Dec.

My cycles are irregular and 40+ days. While that always annoyed/worried me we were very lucky and got pregnant quickly.

We have been pretty lucky and consistent. We conceived on the third cycle of trying with both DD and this baby. I didn't chart or anything, but we did have more sex around what I guessed was the middle of each cycle.

I think it's in my siggy, but we started NTNP in 3/2012, I started charting in December 2012, first pg in 2/2013. That turned out to be a BO. I continued charting and my OB sent me to a RE since I was over 35 and we had perfect timing monthly with no results for about 9 months. The month after all of my testing (which was all normal), I got pg in December. Interestingly, it was the first cycle after a saline sonogram.

We tried for a year. Did 5 rounds of clomid with no success, HSG with normal results, and semen analysis with normal results. Our OB referred us to a fertility specialist in late November, we scheduled for January, and found out we were pregnant on New Years Eve. Our miracle baby

We've been pretty fortunate in this topic. DD#1 first try. DD#2 2nd cycle. This LO first try. All with no charting or anything. I've always just been able to tell when I'm ovulating. We feel very lucky and blessed that fertility hasnt been a hardship for us.

We conceived the first time the cycle after getting off bc, then when that ended in mmc, we conceived after the first full cycle post d&c.

We had thought we might stop using anything around June of this year. However, in December of 2013, after celebrating DH's birthday, he decided not to use anything. I asked beforehand, "Not using anything, huh?" His response was, "Bah - we're married - whatever happens, happens."

Well, it happened.

We definitely expected a longer wait only because we have watched 2 of our friends try for anywhere from 7 months to 2 years. Plus I just had a friend have the "one night of passion" happen to her and her husband, so I thought, "What are the odds of that happening twice in the same circle of friends?" I guess they're resonably good.

We tried for 15 months and saw a reproductive endocrinologist. We had success on our 2nd IUI. Hoping #2 will come along quicker than this one did!

DS 1 we tried for 3 months--- 2 with temping. This baby we tried for 7 months---5 with temping. Hard to time it when your DH is never home because he travels for work!

I went off the pill in November, intending to try a new form of bc due to some issues I was having on the pill, and got pregnant in December. Pregnancy was not our plan right now, but what an amazing blessing to have no problems so far and a baby girl on the way! We're very aware of how fortunate we are.

With The twins it was about 2 months of trying. We started in November but December and January were write offs bc we were too busy with Xmas stuff and Jan I got a uti so we couldn't try. Then pg in February. This time we weren't trying and surprise pg in December.

We got married April 2010 and were doing the "open to whatever happens" plan. I was always tracking my cycle length but not using any markers like temp or mucus to pinpoint ovulation. Between May 2010 and October 2012 we had three losses all before 8 weeks. In that time there were no cycles of "trying" and several where we avoided (mostly following the first two losses).

November 2012 I switched to a NaPro gynecologist who had me start using Creighton and ran a lot of blood work. I had surgery to remove endometriosis off my and an hsg to check my tubes January 2013. We had to avoid three cycles after surgery. It took 4 cycles to conceive and we lost again September 2013 at 6 weeks. I started progesterone therapy. We had a chemical pregnancy the first cycle on progesterone.

Ian Joseph was conceived December 19 or 21 2013 on our third progesterone supported cycle.

I stopped birth control in September, and conceived in December, but we really weren't "trying". We really didn't think it would happen so soon after being on the pill for 10+ years. I consider us very fortunate.

I get pregnant super easy but have rough pregnancies. With my first I got pregnant after a month of being off birth control and this second one I got pregnant without even trying or getting my period back after DD. I was nursing DD for 14 months then she randomly stopped probably because I was pregnant .

Officially a couple of months with each pregnancy, but I was off BC for a year before we got the BFP for our son. Went off in July, but didn't officially start trying until April... BFP in July. With #2, I never went back on BC after #1 was born... started trying in October and BFP on NYE. No medical intervention.

7 months, but I had maybe 3 3-day periods that whole time. I got off bc after many years and was in the process of losing 75 pounds, so my body was all messed up.
