As much as I love the internet for my uses, I'm terrified of how it and the media will make my daughter feel. My H's family isn't curvy and our culture wants them to think they're lesser women and "boy-ish". What they are is beautiful women, but if Z ends up with that body type, someone will say it and it will make me fucking rage.
OMG and I'm crying at work. I had to stop after she talked about teaching her daughter to love herself. And now I'm tearing up at thinking about that for myself and my PB.
Argghh I love and hate you guyz for making me feel things.
I teared up a bit. My DD is 10, and just the other day I heard her tell a friend of hers that someone said she was fat. She asked her friend how to lose weight, and I couldn't believe I was hearing this. Then I realized that she was learning that from me =((. I'm always complaining about being fat, and trying another fad diet. That video has showed me that I need to show her how to love herself, by loving myself as well. Thank you!
