@MommyKristin88‌ parenting has some shit go down over the last couple of days. From what I gather it was some FB drama that spilled over onto TB regarding a backstabbing person. That thread is 47 pages long--but true parenting style it totally diverges into something else after a while.

And they have pinned a pretty funny thread that started in 2008 and the OP came back 6 years later to apologize for it.

Parenting was discussing the new TOS too. Apparently we aren't allowed to cuss anymore? Or have AEs? No one knew for sure.

Getting banned for being snarky is old news- you just have to be a big enough of a pain in the BG's asses for them to decide enough is enough.

I don't see the bannings happening on here nearly as often as they did on TK and TN. But these boards are considerably more dead.

There are a zillion private jokes on parenting that I don't get either. But it's where I lurk for funnies. They have some good debates on current events too. It moves so quickly that I have a hard time keeping up too.

You're right, parenting is such a huge board and it moves at a fast pace. But you really should go over there, intro and participate. And if you don't understand a joke, just ask because they have no problem explaining.

Except when I asked what everyone's obsession was about with this one kid a lot of them have in their siggy's. No one answered me. They just said they will pretend I didn't ask that. I still want to know who that kid is lmao. It looks like a teenage boy with long shaggy hair

Yea parenting had the bad kinda drama. I felt really bad for them. I probably won't ever try to meet someone I met online ever now.

It does move fast over there, but it can be fun. And the most recent shopping cart topic is car carts lol.

From what I can gather, these people had FB groups and even flew out to meet each other. Some must live close to each other bc they hang out. Well one person(they call Voldemort) was in several FB groups and spreading personal info and messages to people in other groups. Also she was getting people to talk shit about other people and sharing the messages to pit people against each other. It looked like some really personal stuff got shared. She would even message shit about a person while at their house.

She was called voldemort to avoid being banned for calling out the bumpie. In the "he who must not be named" idea. Ya, people who were really good friends were pitted against each other, friendships were messed up...it was going on for months before the user was called out.

It was very interesting to see the people that were angry at each other make up and have a big love fest. It was touching. I should have majored in psychology...sometimes I'm so fascinated by relationships and behavior.

How big of a gap are you talking?

Here is where the "sometimes" comes into play. There is an 8 year difference between me an Harry. To pursue a 20 year old NOW is creepy to me. However, 8 years isn't creepy to me when they're both older. For example, If I were 35 and he were 27 <-- not that creepy. 20 isn't even old enough to drink in the US. He is still a "kid" IMO.

Age gap creepiness does shrink with age. Someone used this equation before and it seems decent.

Your age divided by 2 plus 8 is the youngest you should date. For odd years round up.

So if you are 31 or 32:
32/2= 16 + 8 = 24

But if you are 22:
22/2 = 11 + 8 = 19
