Re: *~* Weight loss/Getting Healthy Check In *~*

  • I have been doing great with my workouts which is a huge change for me, but now i'm letting my diet slip.  WHY CAN"T I GET MY DIET AND EXERCISE ON THE SAME PAGE??? grrrr  I lost 0.8 this week which is decent, I was hoping for more but i'll take it.  Yesterday I ate like crap.  I came home and binged while i was cooking dinner.  I had 3 handfuls of jelly beans, chips and dip, chocolate covered raisins... it was crazy!  Today i'm going to try hard to be good and stick to the plan.  I'm also trying to increase my water intake.  yesterday I had about 60 ounces, I usually have like 8 maybe.
QOTW: The last show I watched on Netflix was Breaking Bad and Orange is the New Black.  They were both great.  I've thought about starting a few and can't decided which.   I thought about Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, or House of Cards.  Any suggestions?
    Ba hahahaha!

  • I'm joining WW next week. I've been sick with a horrible chest cold all week so dieting and exercise have not been happening. Unless Gatorade, tea, toast and chicken soup are considered a diet lol. The weather is supposed to be great here next week so assuming I'm healthy I will begin walking/light jogging.

QOTW: I recently finished Dexter and am now watching American Horror Story.

Well, I'm spot on with my diet, but I fell off the workout bandwagon. I did day 1 of couch to 5K 3 times last week(and actually managed to run for the full 60 seconds the last time) and then I just...stopped.
I've been super busy/stressed out at work with just my normal workload. Andplusalso, I'm a member our company's Values Team, which involves fundraising all year culminating in the local Relay for Life. Well, this weekend was Relay Weekend, so I had zero time to dedicate to workouts this whole week. But I do feel like I was much more active than normal, what with running around getting stuff ready for Relay, and the actual walking at the Relay, I think I did ok.
I've actually lost a total of 3 pounds this week, bringing my weight loss total to 31.8 pounds.

I started myo-inositol powder on Wednesday. I'm dosing at 1200 mgs, because I've read it really depends body weight. I can't say for sure it's helped with my weight loss, but I can say that I had stalled out for about 3 weeks and I suddenly lost 3 pounds. I'm pretty pumped about it.

@hope2bmom83 : Good for you on the workouts! I'm super pumped that's working for you. Don't beat yourself up too much about the binge eating. When I was really on top of my workout game, I found I had way stronger cravings than I do right now. PCOS is a bitch.

ETA: I forgot the QOTW! The most important part :)

I love The Office. Seriously, I'm such an Office nerd. I've watched the entire series at least 5 times. And season 3 is my favorite. I've watched that season more times than I can remember. Beats. Bears. Battlestar Galactica.

@hope2bemom83 : I use an app called Waterlogged to keep track of my water intake. It's nice because it's free, and you can save glasses you often drink from with their volume and a picture, so that you can easily log it. As in, "Oh, I just finished a glass of water from my Snoopy mug, I'll just click this picture and the app will automatically add in my ounces without me having to measure anything!"
I hope that description made sense.
Also, House of Cards is awesome, One Tree Hill is one of my guilty pleasures (though maybe skip the dumb IF storyline they give one of the characters in later seasons) and I second the Buffy recommendation. See my siggy if you don't believe me that Buffy is my FAVE.

I did really good with running this week, AND I did more dancing than drinking at the bar DH and I went to last night with friends, so that's really good. I also cleared out a bunch of junk food and was much more health-conscious at the grocery store this week. I always put any fresh fruits or veggies in the "seat" of the cart when I shop, and this week I ran out of room because of all of the fruits and veggies I bought! I also managed to NOT but any Ramen or mac & cheese this week, and those are my big weaknesses.

Oh, and I added a ticker to my siggy. Hopefully that will help keep me on track.

  • HI All,

I know I am a bit late in this thread but I am so pumped that this afternoon I start spinning again!! My job actually offers the class after work at 5pm so its great that my workout is done before stepping in the door! Then tomorrow night is Zumba at work, we shall see how that goes.

Thus far I am down 19.5 since April 3rd by just a very clean and unprocessed diet alone. I am hoping the exercise will help me as I move along. I have an extremely aggressive goal 30 more pounds by mid-August, I know its not realistic to a degree but we really have something to work together towards. This time its not just to fit into a outfit, its been taken to an entirely new level. This should make my RE very happy and we can officially move into IVF. 15 more pounds will make the RE happy but I want to really show him that I took our conversations seriously and surpass the number.

Currently I have been struggling a bit since our stove crapped the bucket and the new one doesn't come til Friday so we have been grilling everything, not tough just hilarious to watch to my hubby out there when its raining, hehe! Oh the things he does since he loves me.

This summer I think that we are actually going to start watching all the previous seasons of Grey's, my husband has never watched the show prior to this season so I think in honor of our Thursday nights we are going to check out the past seasons together!

    @jjgrl55 love the ticker!!
