I found damask overnight bags on the knot's shop, and got their names embroidered. TK suggested to embroider in our wedding colors, but I did a color the girl would actually like. Champagne for my sister, red for my roommate, etc. I filled the bag with tissues, jewelry for the day of, other cute little goodies.
My sister got us all little coolers with our names(hi, we like personalization) and put one of those plastic cups with the straws in each one. Hers was a beach wedding so she have them to us at the beach so we could use it all then
I had little purses made for them and put a necklace, earrings, tissues, bath products, etc in each.
My sister gave Vera Bradley wristlets. I love it, but I was supposed to carry it at the reception. The issue was that she had also given me a list of things to have at the ready, and I needed a full size tote to lug all that stuff around. (If I would have known ahead of time about the gift, I could have purchased a coordinating tote!)
I bought the bridesmaids their jewelry for the wedding. That way they all had the same stuff and could theoretically wear it again. Because they wore sarees, they got earrings, necklace, bindi, and bangles. We had everything but the bangles made in India in the wedding colors. As far as Indian jewelry goes, they were pretty simple. Here's a good shot of the bindi and you can kind of see the necklace.
We eloped, for reals, so no bridesmaids, but almost everytime I was a bridesmaid I got a necklace. However when Italian charm bracelets were big, a friend got those for us and then, we took a trip across the US and got charms at the various places we stopped, so it became a more meaningful gift.
When I was a bridesmaid the bride gave us each a flask with our names engraved on it, and filled I with root beer schnapps. Which we consumed before the ceremony....
i got mine jewelry for the wedding, etched their names on martini galsses, got some other small stuff, and gave them each a piece of artwork. groomsmen got etched beer steins with nicknames and beer.
I did robes, personalized hangers (that I made myself), and Michael kors necklaces.
Groomsmen we purchased their attire accessories, suspenders, tie, socks. Also each got their fav bottle of booze.
Our officiant was a friend who got ordained, we got him a Mets jersey he had his eye on...
i did the hangers, too. but nobody took them with them. so now i have "jane bridesmaid" hangers in my closet.
Similar to some of the above posts, I bought the neoprene lunch box/coolers that were popular a few years ago in patterns each girl would like and had their names embroidered. Each one had snacks, a water bottle, and a 4 pack of the little single serving wine in them. They also got their jewelry for the wedding. The lunch bags were a big hit!
My sister, one of my cousins and one of my roommates got leather Coach wristlets. My best friend, other cousin and other roommate, I did watches. Each girl got something different that matched their own style, but those were the two "themes", I guess.
I also did their jewelry for the day of the wedding (earrings and necklaces), but that was more just something extra vs. their actual thank you gift. I had 3 very low maintenance bridesmaids who just wanted me to tell them what to wear, so despite wanting them to select their own dresses and jewelry, they wanted me to do it for them.

The hanger idea is really cute! I wish I would have thought if that
