Your best memory/Pinterest ideas

I'm not a scrapbooker and haven't ever had occasion to preserve stuff, but now that LO is here, I obviously want to save some important things for him...and maybe get creative about it if I can. I don't mind crafty stuff (not completely inept in that arena...just have mainly done knitting, etc). But it occurred to me I don't know what to save! @aviola329‌ posted about wanting a newspaper from the day LO was born and dang it I wish that I had thought of that too! So....help me out

Please share ideas of memorabilia items or cool Pinterest-esque things you are creating for LO outside of the standard baby books (I do have one of those already). Thanks!!

I save all the cards we get and if it's not from a special person (grandparent or what have you) I cut them up to use the images and/or words to decorate the pages. They're cute and since they aren't just random baby stuff it's more meaningful.

This is not something to make, but a way I've been preserving memories. We set up an email account for both kids and I have been periodically writing them letters. Some are really short about something cute they did that day and others are longer, like the one I wrote on Mother's Day. Also I will try to take pictures on her month birthday each month. With my oldest, I made a Shutterfly book for her first birthday of all of the pictures from her first year. There was a page for each month.

I make shutterfly books. DS1 is almost three and I make three books a year--1) pics from the year 2) a Christmas book and 3) a summer book (includes vacations, his birthday party, zoo trips, etc). They're so easy to make and I just wait until they have a deal. I've never paid more than $20 for one.
