Since we obviously have some interest in this (and since I got nominated to run it), let's do it! I normally just kind of post a "How's it going?", but since this is our first rodeo, I figured we could do a little intro post.
1. What is your goal? You can say numbers if you like, or just a general goal (lose weight/feel better/fit into my "skinny" jeans again).
2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal?
3. What are your challenges?
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
Re: Weight Loss Ladies!
2. I joined a gym at about 7 months pregnant and got a personal trainer. I'm also really trying to eat better, as I want my kids to have healthier eating habits than I do.
3. I'm a terrible eater. I really have no idea how to eat healthy. Add in the fact that I'm EBF, so I need the extra calories, and I'm kind of lazy. Okay, really lazy. I'm getting better though.
4. My husband is really supportive, which is wonderful. I use the My Fitness Pal app to help track my food and exercise, and I found a fun app called Zombies, Run! that you play while walking or running and you have to speed up whenever zombies chase you. It's got a whole storyline, but I just started it.
I need to lose another 55-60 lbs to get back to my normal (I have already lost 30 :-) )
2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal?
I have been cutting out all sugar, legumes, soy, grains, dairy, white potatoes and alcohol 90% of the time but I need to start exercising!!
3. What are your challenges?
TIME! I would love to exercise but between my 50 hrs a week and my husbands 60 hrs a week at work and taking care of LO there is barely time to sleep, it already takes time to prepare 3 meals a day!
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
There is a whole30/paleo motivation group on Facebook and that's been very helpful because the people on there are very supportive! MH also is very supportive by giving me time when we are together to make meals for the week while he takes care of LO.
2. Eating more veggies (growing a new garden). Eating less candy, chocolate and pastry. Going for walks.
3. Challenges are that I'm not very good at eating healthy and I'm pretty lazy. I know what is bad for me but I eat it anyway because I feel hungry and that's what's easier at the time.
4. My mom is helpful she has just lost 25 pounds and looks amazing. We often go on long walks.

2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal?
3. What are your challenges?
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
2. I joined a 10 week kickboxing/strength training class. It focuses on good nutrition and working out 6 days a week. I completed 5 full weeks!
3. Challenge is to wake up at 4:15am daily and get into the gym by 5am. Also, it is a challenge to eat right 6 small meals a day. Not the panera bagel, pizza, spaghetti.... etc that I want sometimes.
4. The fitness/nutrition program has been working! They have a calculator for determining carbs/protein needed per meal. I lost 1.5 inches in each of these areas: thighs, hips, and stomach. Started the program at 177.6 lbs and am now 172.4.
Really want to make 30's awesome and stay in shape for life.
- all of the above...lose weight, feel better, fit into my skinny clothes again.
Right before getting pregnant I had lost 25lbs over a course of 6 months for my wedding. Now I'm back to my "pre-diet" weight. Even though I'm at my starting weight, I'm not fitting in my clothes. I'm guessing because of pregnancy it's just that my weight is redistributed differently. I now just want to lose 15-20lbs. I mostly just want to fit into my clothes again.
2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal?
- just trying to eat healthier. Less sweets, more veggies (I hate fruit), drinking more water (like when I was pregnant amounts), not eating after 9pm, just being smarter about food. If say exercise but between work and LO duties it's hard to find time.
3. What are your challenges?
- laziness and time
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
- not yet, I hope I do soon...I need it.
2. I go to the gym 3-4 days a week or run outside to try to get my cardio ability back up. Eating smaller portions, cooking supper at home, salads for lunch, less fried food and sweets. Aim for 1300 cals per day, end up around 1700.
3. Finding time to do my workouts plus household chores and take care of LO on the weeknights now that we both work.
4. I gave myself a strict no sweets no booze rule for the first 10 days. Had my hubby hide my candy stash. I walk on the treadmill at a steep incline to burn more calories since I hate running anywhere but outdoors on asphalt.
My goal is to get back to 200lb. That's about where I was when playibg basketball in highschool. In the 11-12 years since then, my weight has been a huge issue. It started with the depo shot, and I gained 80-100lb within about 3-4 months. Before my first pregnancy, I had gone from about 300 down to 260. After that loss, I gained most of it back. Before this pregnancy, I was about 285. Right after delivery (thanks GD!), i was down to 270ish, and since, it has slowly been creeping back up.
2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal?
Cut out 90% of soda. Light exercise (walking), and generally eating healthier.
3. What are your challenges?
I am a carb junkie. Can't get enough of breads, and sweets. I also have such a wonky, crazy schedule, it's hard to make time to get things (like housework) done, much less having time for exercise!
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
Following my GD diet was great during pregnancy-I gained less than 15lb and still had a healthy pregnancy. The key for me is eating cleaner, and reducing carbs/sweets

1. What is your goal?
I'd like to get back to my wedding weight.
2. What are you or will be doing to help reach your goal?
Better control over portion size as well as eliminating snacking. I'd also like to start some kind of daily exercise.
3. What are your challenges?
I've never had a sweet tooth in my life but PP, I've become addicted to chocolate. I crave it daily and when I don't have any, I snack on everything in sight to fill the craving.
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
For my chocolate addiction, I've found that eliminating it completely makes me weaker and more likely to give into a "freebie" day where I go crazy and eat all I want. What's helped instead is allowing myself very small portions of dark chocolate (less sugar than milk chocolate) every three days or so.
Good luck, everyone!
2. I have a rowing machine and a cross trainer in the spare room, now if I can just get off the sofa and use them
3. I need to eat less chocolate and cheese - neither are an appropriate breakfast, just so easy to eat when breast feeding
4. I joined Slimming World 6 years ago and lost 30lb in 4 months, I just put it back on when I stopped going to group. I need the fear of the humiliation caused by a public weigh in to motivate me into sticking to the diet ☺
I would like to lose roughly 20 lbs. Like @lihau88, I lost about 20 lbs before I got pregnant. So I'm back at my pre-weight loss weight.
2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal?
I've been doing Weight Watchers, but it's not working! I keep going over my points.
3. What are your challenges?
Snacking. In order to keep in my WW point value, I can basically have 1 snack a day plus three meals and that's difficult for me.
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
I'm currently 11 lbs down from my pre pregnancy weight which was 141. I got up to 173 durring my pregnancy. My "normal" weight is between 120-125 but I'm comfortable where I'm at now I just really want to build muscle and get my booty back !
2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal?
DF just bought me a gym pass and some bands for working out at home so now I just have to actually workout.
3. What are your challenges?
DF started a company so he runs that durring the day while still working his night job. I don't even have time to shower everyday, I don't know how I'm going to find time to work out.
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
Really just clean eating. Counting my macros (fats, carbs and protein) per meal making sure I hit my numbers.
1. What is your goal?
I would like to lose about 50-60lbs. I put on weight starting with my first pregnancy with DS1. I never lost all the pregnancy weight before getting pregnant again. I actually did really well eating this pregnancy thanks to my GD! However, after DS2 I felt like I could eat anything I wanted and not workout and I've now gained 10lbs.
2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal?
My plan is to do the 21 day fix workout and eating program. I started the workout last week, now I just need to get the eating in order.
3. What are your challenges?
TIME. I have two boys under 2 and they keep me busy and tired. We're also moving so our house is for sale and once it sells we will be moving in with my mom until October when our house will be finished.
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
My SIL became a beachbody coach and added me to the 60 day FB challenge she's doing. Every day you have to take a picture of you after a workout among other things. I like the accountability.
Hi ladies, thanks @magentawarped for starting this! There was a WW check in, but I think it has dropped as there were fewer posts as the weeks went on. I think it is so great for you all to share your goals, real numbers etc. I think you are doing great!
1.My short term goal is to lose the 12 lbs of PG weight from this PG, then tackle the 10 lbs lingering from last PG. My long term goal is to finally lose the 20 lbs gained from my wedding to when I received my BFP and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I want to fit into my nice clothes again.
2. I joined WW again. After my first PG, I expected the weight to fly off. Well, the joke was in me as I lost 35 of my 55 PG lbs and immediately began gaining the weight back. I gained 5 lbs before I joined WW. My DD was 9mo then. It worked for me because I became aware of how much I took in. I lost 15lbs on WW and was planning on losing more until I received my second BFP. I learned my lesson after this PG and decided to rejoin WW again since it worked for me. I am proud that so far I have lost 14 lbs. Makes the ST goals seem attainable at this rate.
3. I anticipate a challenge when I go back to work on Monday. There is a weight loss support group started by my bestie at the office but it mainly operates out of our other location. I remember the office meetings that are catered and the endless supply of donuts. At least at home I can control what enters the house. I have zero willpower when it comes to sweets, so I am worried.
4. I remember Oprah saying, "nobody ever lost weight by feeling full all the time." I remember this when I am hungry some days and don't have many WW points left. It helps. Then I try to drink lots of water and drink tea with nothing in it. Also, like @broccoli's_girl I prepare a well balanced meal for my DD1, which I am trying to then incorporate the same healthy choices into our dinners as well. It's like I can plan a healthy menu for my child no problem but incorporating healthier foods for DH and I is an afterthought. It's weird. But at least I am trying, so that counts.
I just added you. Anyone else, I'm magentawarped on there as well. I know a few of you are friends with me already!

Liking the accountability of friends being able to see what I've lost....might frighten my backside back onto the cross trainer lol
1. What is your goal? You can say numbers if you like, or just a general goal. I want to slim down my mid-section (love handles and bump remnant mostly). That's what triggers most of my insecurity. If I can fix that, the numbers on the scale will go with it.
2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal? I have an ab workout DVD that I like and I want to get started on that. Also healthier eating.
3. What are your challenges? Losing weight in a healthy manner is difficult for me. I'm usually all or nothing - last time I was "all in" I went insane with WW and got myself kicked out for losing weight too fast, and was borderline anorexic. Obviously that weight loss wasnt sustainable, but I can't find a happy medium of losing weight while still being healthy, especially since I BF.
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you? I've used MFP on and off since LO was born. I also use Map My Run, which tracks workouts and links the activity and calorie value over to MFP.

1. My goal is to be where I was when I played soccer in college. Muscle toned, healthy, and comfortable in my clothing again. Numbers work really well for me, too; pre pregnancy weight was 169. I would love get back to 140-145ish, and I'm already at 155 again so that has kept me motivated.
2. I've been working out with my niece-in law, she's a beast! So we've been doing a lot of muscle building. She's as strong as I used to be so it's very motivating trying to keep up with her and match her weights.
3. I find it hard to eat often enough during the day home alone with lo, and I know not eating enough plays a huge role. Otherwise it'll just store in your body as fat, yada yada. So remembering to eat enough and have what I do eat to be healthier.
4. Nothing helpful by myself, but I have my niece texting me everyday asking when I can meet her at the gym. Makes me feel more obligated to actually go. And I've downloaded MFP to use but I can't seem to keep up with it, because lazy. But my screenname is efeeman20
So I went to download the App, and realized that I had downloaded it over a year and a half ago, and just never used it. Woops! I will be sure to add you ladies on the App later tonight. My username is the same here and there.
For MFP, does sex count as exercise? I feel like it should, just saying.

2.I downloaded this app called myfitnesspal that tracks what you are eating and basically you can't go over a certain amount of calories a day depending on how much you wish to lose and I also go for walks when I have the time. I am doing pretty good actually.
3. I love to snack, chocolate is my weakness.
4. My family is also on a diet more of a reeducating their eating habits thing so that really motivates me to get back in shape and lose weight.
no set goal just want to feel more energy and be able to keep up with the boys when running around and playing
2. What are you or will you be doing to help reach your goal? I am using map my walk linked with my fitness pal (am kraid on mfp)
am also doing the whole 30 which am loving so far 2.5 weeks in am feeling fantastic and have lost 2 dress sizes since begining
3. What are your challenges?
time and weather coming into winter here so some days are inside days and being at home with the 3 kids I cant afford the time or money for a gym membership so am trying to get a 30 minute shred of youtube when cant get out to walk
4. Have you found anything that's really been helpful to you?
