Sorry for blowing up TB tonight...

LO woke up with a scary cough..She's been sick non stop since she has been at daycare (2 months). Our pedi says it happens sooner or later, but it's still frustrating! She was fine all last night but when she woke up she was a hot mess. I did a steam shower and she felt a little better. She was pretty happy all day, we went to the doctor and she said she has croup! She is on a 3 day steroid treatment.

Anyways, she hadn't coughed much all day and now she is in bed and is coughing non-stop :( she is just super uncomfortable, but still sleeping. Not sure what I can do to make her comfortable. The humidifier is on, as well... Halppppp!

    It gets worse at night. Did the doc give any tips for helping comfort baby?

    My son has had croup about a dozen times. He's 4 now but the only thing that helped him was the steroids. Every time he had that cough, I called dr and we had to go in for decadron injection. It worked wonders, then he slept like shit for like 2 days due to steroid, not cough. The liquid steroid didn't affect him like the shot tho.

    Thanks ladies! She ended up falling asleep..we haven't dealt with something like this aside from an ear infection so I really wasn't sure what I was in for!

    @Emilyraymond‌ just out of curiosity, does your son have allergies now? My brother used to get it a lot as well and he has terrible seasonal allergies

    Yes he does have allergies! But I never put the 2 and 2 together. So do I and I think dd is going to have them too. =(
