LO's favorite book?

Just curious what books seem to hold your LO's attention the most? I found so far that Sandra Boynton's The Going To Bed Book seems to be a favorite. I mentioned it my sister and she also said it was a favorite for her kids.

What has been popular with your baby?

Lamaze book is LOs favorite. She could care less about the hard cover books.

Anything that makes noise.  I have an animal sounds book and soft books with sesame street on them.  Really though she is not into books...

  • LO is not in to books yet, other than the fabric ones she can put in her mouth.  I just bought Peekaboo Kisses and plan on breaking that out in a few months.  My niece and nephew loved that book more than any other one when they were babies.

  • These seem to keep her attention too. I put them in her Easter basket I got 4 for $2 :) I think it just really depends on the tones you use when reading to your little one

  • She actually seems to like this board book called 'If I were an owl.' It has giant owl eyes to look at and feathers to touch.

  • We have a set that are "sneak a peek a boo" , they have little flaps that open and color photos of animals. She likes those. She also likes one with photos of babies making faces.

This post cracks me up. I read to my kid every day, but he has no idea what is going on, let alone having a preference, lol.

That's exactly why I posted it. He could care less about most books but actually pays attention to the one I posted.

Anything with photographs, particularly of other babies
  • She likes the cloth books that crinkle like Fuzzy Bee and Friends. She also like Hello Baby and the Dr. Suess book The Shape of Me and Other Things. If it isn't one of those she will start to fuss 2 pages in.

We love The Going to Bed Book too! She also seems to really like the pictures in The Very Hungry Caterpillar....she always looks hypnotized when we read it, lol. And I suppose she also likes Runaway Bunny -- DD1 demands that I read it to the both of them daily.

  • Grandma made this one, it's his favourite because he can eat it :) but mr men books are good because they are really short and I like "Arthur and the meanies" for the lovely illustrations
