Can't baby hear you just by you speaking out loud? I mean...why would anyone feel the need to amplify that? I would assume they can hear your music too if you're not using headphones...

Babies can hear talking/music with out all that. But to each their own I guess.

I played an hour of a Beethoven's symphony on my iPhone once and tucked my phone into the band of my maternity pants lol
I was doing house chores so it was nice to have some music. My H always jokes that we should play it to make the baby smarter (usually quotes the babysitter on The Incredibles) so I did it to amuse him.
