    I got no real updates other then AF started (boo!). Still got a while to go before our appointment.

    QOTW: With our future treatment plans up in the air, ain't got the time or money to go anywhere! We'll probably do a couple of little things, like go to the zoo, the aquarium and the fair. Nothing too exciting.

    Nothing new here.

    This summer we are taking a week long trip to sunset beach, nc with family which should be really fun. We also plan on doing a few long weekend trips to OC,MD since we have a free place to stay whenever we want there. I'm all about the beach in the summer, so whenever I can get there that's where I'll be : )

    Therapy session next week. Still making donor sperm decisions. Otherwise nothing new

     Hashimoto's with irregular cycles  DH- 37 Severe oligoasthenoteratozoospermia

    TTC since May 2012

    HSG- all clear

    March 2014 - RE appt. 
    April 2014- Saline sono all's good, terrible SA results - 8 sperm found all abnormal
    May 2014- Fert Urology- Bilateral varicoceles, recommend Donor Sperm
    12/2014-  Surprise natural BFP  EDD 7/31/15 Plan:  Starting foster to adoption, natural cycles

    Off of the bench! Beginning femera/ TI cycles for the summer. If we aren't successful by September we will consider IVF. Hopefully I won't be back on the bench, but anything is possible when dealing with IF.

    Our summer plans include a trip with my family up north for a week, and doing some work on our house.

    Married 12/4/12

    Began TTC 11/2012

    Diagnosed as anovulatory 7/2013

    Round #1 Clomid 50 mg 8/2013= BFN

    Round#2 Clomid 50 mg 9/2013=BFN

    First appointment with RE 9/27/2013

    HSG showed left tube completely blocked, diagnosed with hypothyroid and began 50 mcg Synthroid, Vitamin D level low and began 2000 iu Vitamin D, Hubby's SA showed "super sperm" according to RE

    Round#3 Clomid 50 mg + Ovidrel trigger 10/2013= BFN

    Round #4 Clomid 50 mg + Ovidrel trigger 11/2013=BFN

    Round #5 Clomid 50 mg (no trigger, on vacation) 12/2012= BFN

    Round #1 Femara 2.5 mg, no trigger, IUI cancelled due to early ovulation 1/2014= BFN

    1/25/2014= BENCHED for the first time (two leftover follies on the right)

    2/7/14 Diagnosed with MTHFR/Benched

    4/2014 Round #2 Femara 5mg, IUI #1=BFN

    4/28/14 positive opk with no treatment while on break, confirmed with ultrasound= BFN

    5/16/14 5mg Femara + trigger + TI=  BFN

    6/2014 5mg Femara + trigger + TI= BFN

    Awaiting IVF consultation appointment on 7/29/2014

    8/8/14 Began BCP's to prep for IVF

    9/16/14 Began Lupron injections

    9/25/14 Began stimming for IVF #1 with Menopur and Bravelle

    10/8/14 10 eggs retrieved

    10/13/14 2 embryos transferred

    10/21/14 BFP!!!

    11/24/14 confirmed that baby stopped growing at 6 weeks, d&c scheduled

    Finally ovulated and starting meds next weekend. Hopefully I stay off the bench this time. QOTW: our summer will be focused on this cycle but hopefully we will take a weekend here and there for something fun. I'm also trying to run as much as I can, while I can!
    Ready to take the road less traveled.

    I guess I'm officially on the bench.  I haven't responded to femara or clomid, and now my RE is looking a bit closer at my initial bloodwork.  I had a really high 17-OHP which means I might not have PCOS, it might be CAH instead.  So I have to wait a month to get in with an endocrinologist to see if that's what the problem is, then go back to the RE to develop a plan.  So at least 6 weeks until we can get back into things.  On one hand I'm happy to not have to start my day with the dildo cam 3 days a week for a while.  On the other I am frustrated and wish I could be doing something.

    QOTW: We have a family vacation planned to go to outer banks, NC.  Pretty excited about it.

    First RE appt 3/28 Dx- non-IR PCOS
    No response from Clomid 50mg or Femara 5mg
    Clomid 100mg- BFP! Beta #1 15 DPO 169, Beta #2 17 DPO 340
    EDD: 4/15/15

    Newly Benched?--Yes newly benched.  We were blessed with our DS last Aug after having to do IVF.  Our doctors said our best chances to conceive without IVF was to try right away so that is what we did.  We did 5 months of timed intercourse and 2 rounds of IUI and all BFNs. 

    1. What brings you over to the bench? After 2 IUIs we have decided that IVF is most likely what we will need again. 

    2. How long will you be staying with us?  My husband is a farmer so we are going to wait and see what this years crops do for us and then go from there.  If IVF wasn't so expensive it wouldn't be so up in the air but have to see what is best for us financially.

    3. How do you feel about being benched?  I think the worst part of it is the fact that the hope that we could do this without IVF seems to have been taken away from us again.  Our DS is an amazingly easy baby so that is why we decided to go for it right away.  On the positive side we will get more time to just focus on him and enjoy every little second of him.  Who knows maybe we will be one of those that it happens to when we aren't "trying" but not holding my breath on that.  My husband loves that we won't be on as much of a schedule and that I won't be stressing about living my life in 2 week increments.

    I'm still benched. CD29 for me, anxiously awaiting the dot so I can get things rolling again. This feels like it has taken FOREVER.
    Me: 38     DH: 36
    Married: July 21, 2013
    TTC#1 (between us): June/July 2013

    DX: MFI (low count and motility)
    Charting/OPK/CBFM July 2013-present
    1st RE Visit: January 2014
    Cycling: 
    March 2014- 75iu follistim + trigger + progesterone + IUI = BFN and OHSS
    (8 million post wash 47% motility, 18mm/17mm/16mm/16mm/14mm follies)
    April/May 2014- Benched due to cysts/enlarged ovaries
    June 2014- 50iu follistim + trigger + progesterone + IUI = BFP!!
    (10 million post wash 60% motility, 20mm/19mm follies)
    Beta 1- 85 Beta 2- 2,752 - EDD 2/27/2015

    I've been on the bench since April....self imposed. After finding out I had practically no insurance coverage had to regroup. Thanks to these boards realized my hubby's small business could qualify for health coverage. Yeah. . May 1st the new health plan in effect with infertility coverage. AF done and hystereoscopy done yesterday. 

     Hoping to cycle in June. The bench wasn't fun, but worth the better ins & hopefully lower costs. Plus I've been doing acupuncture. 

     QOTW: Hmm..we had a very active ski season. No big plans for summer. Maybe a big family trip to Park City, UT or Florida.
