GTKY: What's in your fridge?

Just for fun (and because I'm nosy)...

What's in your refrigerator at the moment? No need to include all the condiments in the door (unless that's all you've got in there)

I've got a 12 pack of Diet Coke, a 1/2 drank bottle of blackberry merlot, Motts unsweetened granny smith apple sauce, left over spaghetti and meat sauce and a jar of salsa that's been in there for about a year....

I need to do some grocery shopping...

Re: GTKY: What's in your fridge?

  • We grocery shop for the week on Sundays, so we're getting a little low at the moment.  We do have a meatloaf that I prepared on Sunday afternoon to just toss into the oven when I get home today.  Also a variety of leftovers.

We have Aquafina, Mt. Dew, Gatorade, Minute Maid Fruit Punch in the fridge as far as beverages go.

Lunch meat, american cheese, shredded cheese, head of lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, lunchables in the drawers.

Chip dip, sour cream, bread and I am pretty sure I saw a large chocolate bunny in the back this morning. Plus a bunch of condiments.

I, too, need to go grocery shopping!

  • Bacon. Some Diet coke as well, it's so addicting. I drink just one a day if I have one. Eggs, sausage, a little bit of sweet tea, diced peaches, string cheese, and milk. That's all I can think of right now.

  • Ooh fun, I'll play.

Top shelf - soy creamer for coffee, my cat's "toothpaste" gel, and H's cream cheese

Middle - miso paste, some homemade pesto, applesauce, soft tortillas, extra-firm tofu, vegan chocolate chips, vegan cheddar cheese slices

Bottom - a fancy bottle of champagne we're saving for after delivery, water, vegetable juice, coconut water, and spirulina powder (for smoothies and face masks)

Drawers - lots for a recipe tonight:  parsley, green onions, tomatoes, celery, carrot, onion, garlic, avocado, lemons, green lettuce. Also an acorn squash for next week's "week 29 photo"

  • haha! great question. I grocery shop on Sundays, so the fridge is looking rather bare - freezer on the other hand should still last us til then!

We've got eggs, cheese, sausage and wraps for breakfast burritos. A carton of flavored seltzer water. Regular water. Apples, peppers, Coconut milk and coconut coffee creamer. Honestly I think that's about it!

Tons of stuff since I was starving when I went grocery shopping on Sunday.

"Meals": We have the ingredients for about 4 Fresh20 recipes (barbacoa beef bowls, pineapple tilapia, chicken gyros, and chorizo sausage paella), leftover gumbo and Greek quinoa chicken casserole that we'll finish up tonight for dinner, plus broccoli, carrots, and celery.

"Snacks": Raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries, honey-flavor Greek yogurt, sugar snap peas, string cheese

"Misc": whole milk, eggs, cheddar cheese, bread, a few beers for DH
  • Top shelf; green beans that are I dunno HOW old, old marinara from Little Caesar's, shredded mozzarella cheese and DH's "adult" Capri Sun (box wine bag that he took outta the box) and his spinach leaves

Middle shelf: skim milk, ice tea, small block of colby jack cheese, 2 small bags of cubed colby jack cheese, onion in a container

Bottom shelf: 2 cartons of eggs (we go through them like crazy), sliced roast beef

We need to go grocery shopping, but we only do it on weekends, and between the boys being sick all week, and our wonky hours this week, there's no leftovers in the fridge.

Thinking about this question makes me want to go home and clean out my fridge and then post. Lol

It'll be a short list at that point.

1.5 gallons milk, eggs, greek yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese, avocados, black grapes, mangos, 1 grapefruit, lemons & limes, Kale, green onions, salad greens, bacon, pork tenderloin, mahi mahi, lamb chops, Port Salut , Manchego , H's beer, my fizzy water, whipped cream (we had strawberry shortcake on Sunday), sourdough, everything bagels

We just worked through our leftovers. It's a cooking night, hence the choice of proteins for the next few nights.

  • This should probably be a FFFC, but I don't really know what's in my fridge in the moment, it's a space I've been actively avoiding for the past week or so. We have a very old model, circa 1984, top freezer version, and it's getting increasingly difficult to bend over to see what's inside due to my increasing belly, ha! I do know that there are a lot of old leftovers in it at the moment which need to be tossed, which I will do this weekend because we just bought a new fridge and it arrives on Sunday!!!!  I should clarify, it will be new to us- we scored a great deal on craigslist from a couple moving out of state. It's a gorgeous stainless Samsung with French doors, a bottom freezer, ice maker, water dispenser, etc and they've taken great care of it.

It's a little early in our remodel to replace the fridge, as the old one is still kicking and we have to put the new one in a temporary place until we order new cabinets, but I convinced my hubby we had to do it now because 1) the great deal and 2) no more having to bend over to get food out of the fridge!  Yay! I am soooo eeexxcitted!!!

I need to throw it out... Just haven't... I always say "I'll grab it next time" and then I forget. Nuva ring is supposed to be kept in the fridge (was always shipped to me in ice packs and doc always had it in the fridge when she gave me a freebies on my yearly visits).
Oh, ok.  I know nothing about Nuva ring.  I wasn't aware it was 'perishable'.  lol
