I am also on medicated cycles and have basically been told the same thing. Temping is less reliable then the constant blood tests/ultrasounds so at the end of the day it won't hurt anything but probably won't help anything either. It could, though, I imagine be helpful for you to understand how your body's temp relates to your cycle since you will be so informed on what's going on which could translate into useful info on an unmedicated cycle in the future.
My RE doesn't have me temp or use OPKs while on my medicated IUI cycles.
I did temp the first 2 cycles of clomid when I was with my OB and first RE, but I was not using a trigger, and I was using OPK's. I was able to see a definate temp shift on those charts confirming ovulation.

As others said, temping is less reliable on a medicated cycle. You can do it if you'd like, of course, but I wouldn't read too much into temp shifts/spikes while on the medicines.
Good luck this cycle! Hope this next one is it for you!
Gah! Oh no grailseeker! I am so so sorry. I don't have any experience (except that clomid f'ed my temps while I was in it, but not after) I just wanted to give you (((hugs)))
I did temp on my medicated cycles and did see a shift but I always had to adjust the o date because the ganarelix and trigger did screw up my temps. I only continued to temp for the fun of it. It really does serve no purpose when you trigger.
It's not very helpful on medicated cycles (though I am doing it). I think it helped me be slightly less upset that I wasn't pregnant when I slowly watched my temps go down at the end of the cycle. I'm not sure if everyone would feel the same way though.
**siggy warning** **everyone welcome**
