Whose babies have tried sweets (not including naturally sweet stuff like fruit)?

    My LO hasn't tried sweets yet, but we will let him try some birthday cake on his birthday in a couple of weeks and maybe a tiny bit at his cousin's birthday later in June.  (We actually have a birthday party this weekend, but I'm not going to give him cake there.)

    Not yet. First birthday! Right now she LOVES all food, so I like the idea that she doesn't know what she's missing. Why give it to her if she's super happy to eat fruit or veggies instead?

    He gets a couple of crackers after dinner almost every night, they are chocolate, chocolate chip and honey graham;

    and when I have desserts, he gets a bite or two (ice cream, pastries, or restaurant desserts).

    Aiden shared an Oreo with him one day and he's had a small chocolate chip cookie.  I can't remember any other stuff.

    I chose SS because of food allergies he will be limited to what he has because most of sweets have milk or soy in them. He has had a few allergy free cookies and will have a small cake for a his birthday that is allergy free.

    I'll give him a bite if I am eating something sweet. It's not very often and just a small amount.

    He's had a few tastes here and there over the past month or so. But it's been a small taste of something like ice cream on the tip of a spoon. I do plan to give home healthy foods like fruit as much as possible. I am not a sweet lover at all so it doesn't make it too hard on me. I just wish other people didn't think it was their god given right to feed him whatever they wanted, for example grandparents and other family.

    My mil gave him a cupcake during a family get together when he was like 6 months and I was out of the room. I wasn't happy and I made sure she knew it. I made rice Krispy treats last week and I gave him a small piece. He gave it to the dogs. I think he's going to be like ds1 and prefer salty over sweet,

    My dad loves sweets and loves sharing with Lyndin. He only does it if I Ok it. He gets really excited when he sees the cookie package though. I've shared my ice cream/frozen yogurt and he loves it once he gets over the coldness.

    DD hasn't had anything except ice cream. It was very minimal since I let her lick it since she was eying it so bad that I let her have some. She basically put her tongue on it 3 times and made weird faces since it was so cold. :)

    DD has had sweets because MIL and SIL gave her some cake and ice cream when I wasn't looking. I have never given her sweets

    DH and I are not much into sweets, so she really just hasn't had any because we don't really keep any in the house. She eats whatever we eat, though, and sometimes it is not very healthy. She will definitely have cake on her birthday, and possibly some before for cake smash photos.

    Abby has had a piece of a cookie and a couple of tiny spoonfuls of ice cream. Both times they were things I was eating so I let her taste.
