RE Appt Yesterday

I went to the RE yesterday, and here is the story. I got my period Monday, so yesterday was CD3. I started the letrozole (5mg as opposed to 2.5mg my OB had me on last month). She did a vaginal ultrasound & my lining and ovaries looked good. She wants me to have the HSG test, but the front desk girl has to call me to tell me what if any my insurance covers- if it's too much, we may skip it this month, we will see. If I do have it, it is scheduled for next week Thursday, then I go in Friday for CD12 ultrasound to see if I am ready for trigger shot. A week after that, progesterone level check, then a week after that BETA. I felt good after I left, I am just glad I decided to go back to the RE instead of staying with my OB and doing the charting and basically guessing everything.

Fingers crossed for everyone this cycle!

    Taking a break from herbs and just riding the healthy train.  
    Planning medicated cycle end of summer.  FX I get KU before then!!!

    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
    MOVING TO ADOPTION!

    @iheartsippycups does your RE have you on any other meds?  I'm just curious because for my last IUI cycle at my crazy RE practice they had me start estrace on CD 8 to thicken my lining (I guess) and this RE just wants me taking my prenatal and the femara.  My former RE practice did what they called "blanket infertility approach" where they treat you for EVERYTHING instead of pinpointing what your body really needs.  They tried to have me take a steroid, antibiotic, femara, estrace, baby aspiring, intralipid IV....and a whole bunch of other crap that I denied taking.  I did take the estrace because they said my lining was somewhat thin.  So my first IUI experience was kind of crazy--that's why I switched practices.  This one is WAY more traditional but I'm still worried about the thickness of my lining.

    @FRENCHTEACHERMAMA - The last time I went through this with DS, I took letrozole, prenatals, and baby aspirin- then progesterone after ovulation.

    This time, she never mentioned the baby aspirin, but did recommend the prenatals, and more than likely we will do the progesterone, and of course the letrozole (femara)

    Um, Update- no HSG right now- it will cost me $800! Yikes! I will have to hold off for now on that test, but praying I don't end up needing it because this cycle works!

    Apparently not! They said something about needing to reach my out of pocket, max something, i have no idea- so I would have to pay full price of $800. This is new ins. for me (my worked switched this past november) It is good for meds- almost all are free, and my copay for primary & specialty are $30- but when it comes to testing/xrays/ultrasounds etc, it is 100% until deductable is met then 20% after that. I believe my deductable is $1500?! Not positive though...
