  I'm thankful that whatever shit is going on my eye isn't a bacterial or viral conjunctivitis and it's only been deemed chemical pinkeye (from the fucking YMCA pool). Should clear up in a day or two.

  Truly though, I'm thankful DH has started a new job he seems to be truly happy at (so far).  He was stuck in a rut with no place for advancement for TEN YEARS.  His hard work has paid off and he has interest in what he does again.  :-)

  I am thankful for my inlaws. Without them these past 10 days with the move would have been a disaster. They helped make the transition easy and helped us basically get fully settled into the new place all while keeping things as normal as possible for LO.

  I have a real one this morning. I am very thankful for my DH and all the other firefighters and first responders. There were 9 wildfires in San Diego yesterday and they expect more today. The county is in a state of emergency and so many people lost their homes or had to evacuate. It is truly heartbreaking to watch the news and see flames everywhere and people packing up their kids and belongings. I am thankful we have been safe and haven't had to evacuate yet and all my family and friends in San Diego seem to be safe. We know 6 people who have had to leave their home, but as far as we know the houses are still standing. DH is out there doing what he can to help and LO and I probably won't see him until next Tuesday. I will worry sick but I appreciate him and the others who risk their lives and have to be away from their families.
