Last week was great! It was easy to get motivated as it was my last week of work which meant my last access to my work gym. I got there 3x for 45 minute workouts each then did a bunch of walks toward the end of the week. Feeling great!
No challenges from last week to complain about!
Looking forward to being 39 weeks this week! And also my friends wedding festivities to start on Thursday and Friday!
Plan for this week is to do a bunch of walks and possibly get to the pool once or twice.
Dang @kinipela7... As I was reading your looking forward to: I was like... Unless you pop out a kid... You are SO CLOSE! I'm jealous.
My runs: Good, I ran 3 times for 8 miles total (2, 3, 3), had a little walking in there too. DH was sick so I skipped the gym a few times that I could have gone to "take care of him".
No challenges to complain about, besides time. Theres just never enough time is there?
Looking forward to: My mom and dad and little sisters coming to visit this week! Definitely not going to get to the gym as much as I would like after they get here, but who cares?? We have our "big" family shower on Sunday. I'm really excited for that too!
Last week was great here as well. Got a 3.25 mile run, 4 mile run, and 5 mile run in during the week, plus a 2.75 mile walk with my mom on Mother's Day. 15 miles total and NONE of it was on a treadmill or in my boring neighborhood - that's a huge win in my book!
No major challenges. During my 4-mile run I was hitting 10-minute miles which is close to my steady/easy pre-pregnancy pace so I am very happy with that. I get some stabby pain low in my pelvis here and there sometimes but I find that if I pull back the pace just a little, I can run through it and it goes away. I always forget to wear my bella band but I'm guessing if I am a little more diligent with that it might help.
This week I hope to get another good week mileage-wise, but scheduling will be tricky between odd-hours OB appts, lots of running around for the Girls on the Run 5k I am volunteering at this weekend, and prepping for my baby shower on Saturday which means a whole lot of cleaning/organizing in my house since that's where it will be!
@Kinipela7 you are a freaking rockstar for hitting so many workouts at almost 39 weeks! I hope I can keep it up as long as you have!
workouts were great last week! a good mix of yoga, runs and strength training. proud that i am still able to workout, lift and feel good this far along
Any challenges you are facing?
no real challenges, just this big ole belly getting in the way!
What are you looking forward to this week?
this week is making me a bit nervous actually. we are facing a HUGE heatwave in so cal so i expect my diet to be lots of water and otter pops to get me through. no one really has A/C around here because it rarely gets this hot. i am just hoping i can get in a few workouts and still feel good in spite of the soaring 100 degree weather....
What will you do with LO when you work out? Planning to use a stroller, daddy will take care of him/her, daycare??
I am a little sad because I think DH and I will be having to work out separately after she's born so we can each get in our work out. Our gym is on the college campus I work on so no daycare available.

We are fortunate enough to have a treadmill at home so as far as getting midweek runs in, my plan is to schedule them around times she's asleep and have the monitor with me in case she wakes while I'm in the basement, or while hubby is home and can watch her. My husband plays softball 2-3x/week in the summer and football 1-2x/week in the fall/winter so I will watch her either at home or at his games so he can continue to play, and once we get the pumping thing down, the plan is to nurse her before my long runs on Saturday mornings and leave hubby in charge of any feedings while I am away. I'm sure we will have to adjust things here and there but that's our basic plan for now.
the only working out we do together is surf. that will be tough to do together for a little while. otherwise DH will watch LO while i run and go to the gym.
I will run before DH goes to work or later at night (in the summer). He gets home at 3:30pm though so I can always run when he gets home as well. I plan to do strength in the house during naps. Once she is old enough to be in the stroller for a run, I will take her on some. If I want, my parents house is 15 mins away and I can use their treadmill while she sits in her rock n play or play on her activity mat. I feel like I have a lot of options so I should have no excuses!
Wow! Nice work ladies! I am fortunate to be able to walk all day for work (I work in several buildings). Yoga classes twice per week is about all I can manage.
Looking forward to using my Bumbleride Indie stroller once LO gets here! My husband assembled it and we are everyday to go!
