difficult 3 year olds...

any advice ladies?

so my 3 year old talks ALL day, he is constant and obsessive with things being his way and where he left them and who touches them.

please tell me you can relate!?

some days my nerves are so shot by the end of the day just listening to his questions and narration of the day that i want to lose my mind!!!

i'm a SAHM of two little boys. 16 months and 3.

please just reassure me that others have 'crazy' 3 year olds and are still sane!!!!!

It's pretty normal for him to want to talk a lot - he's just at the age where he's "mastering" his world and figuring out what he can/can't control.

Do you get out much? I think it helps everyone feel better to get out and do things, be around other kids and people as much as you can.

I have a 3 yo DD and 20 mo DS. My DD has a speech disorder and can be very difficult to understand. But she talks all of the time and is very hurt when I don't respond. It can get very tiring. She is also a normal bossy 3 yo and is constantly getting upset about things that DS or I do that aren't right for her.

She is in preschool right now and it's been awesome for us. She goes 4 days per week because of her speech issues. But I would have enrolled her 2 days per week anyway. It's great for her to get and be around kids and I love the one on one time with DS. It's been a huge help for us. Although she only has 2 weeks left before summer. Who knows what I'll do then.

lol thanks ladies!

we do get out every day - some days we just hang out at home but we have a big yard and now that the weather is better we've been out lots. but i totally agree that you have to get out because the days we stay home we're all ready to rip our hair out.

no matter what time he goes down at night - he's still up at 514 everyday!!!! he is napping as well at least 2 hours. i don't understand, but i know it's become a routine and we need to work on that.

speech doesn't seem to be an issue - i don't think he has any speech disabilities as he is fairly easy to understand. even compared to his little buddies he's pretty much on par.
