Is there anything fun to do there with four or five year olds? I know there is a zoo... I see a science museum but is it geared toward older kids? Any locations or hotel recommendations for a weekend?
I live in Columbus. The zoo is great! Cosi is really cool but probably geared a little bit older than four or five. I don't really have any specific hotel recommendations. There are some pretty nice splash parks around the area. Other than the zoo there are not very many specific things I would suggest without a specific location you will be in.
I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!
I don't live in Columbus right now, but we have gone to visit many times. My 5 year old loves COSI. There is a ton of stuff do to there. The zoo is amazing, and it is right next to a huge water park that my kiddos also love. There is also Franklin Park Conservatory. It is really beautiful. My kids love the bonzai trees and butterfly room. If you are going to be up in Powell (near the zoo), there is Highbanks Metro Park, and the Olentangy Indian Caverns. Downtown Dublin is also really cute. I don't know too much about hotels there, but I've always wanted to stay at the Hilton at Easton.
We like Cincinnati too. Kings Island has a huge kids area. There is also a beautiful children's museum at Union Terminal, a very nice (although smaller than Columbus) zoo downtown, and the aquarium across the river in Newport, KY.
