I only do it at night but she has been seriously lacking on naps during the day so I might have to start adding in a swaddle session or two during the day.
We only do it when he's in bed. The swaddle blanket lives in the crib, and we lay him down on it when he put him in the crib, then swaddle him in place. We don't use the DUDU swaddle though, we kind of do a cheater-swaddle because it's faster and easier, but it relies on tucking the ends of the blanket underneath his body and using gravity to hold the whole thing together, so as soon as we pick him up the whole thing falls apart.
Penny hates being swaddled. I honestly think she prefers being naked!! She kicks off anything we put on her and it's hilarious to watch her in a sleep sack.... She just kicks and kicks and kicks. Haha
Only at night. This week we've been using the Miracle Blanket and it's a game-changer. Before, he squirmed out of everything and kept himself awake doing it.
We did it for a couple if days when she was born but she didn't really like it. She sleeps in a sleep sack but her arms are free and her legs are just covered, not particularly confined.
For all sleeping.... so that's about 10 hours at "night" and 3-4 naps during the day. Unless she is super fussy and fighting sleep, I won't swaddle for feedings... I usually just pop her off the boob and swaddle immediately afterward, then rock her to sleep for a few min. I like her to have arms available for nursing, but she needs them to be tucked down for sleeping or she works herself into a frenzy and never settles.
Always at night, and then only during the day if fussy/needs help calming down for a nap
Same. We do the SwaddleMe blanket for bed time. Also I'll do it first thing in the morning with an A&A blanket after waking up/changing diaper so he goes right back to sleep after I feed him. Then I can have breakfast, etc.
Always at night, an for about half her naps. I don't do it right though, and she often works her arms out. She just likes them tucked in to help her get to sleep. I don't swaddle for feeding though, just once I put her in her crib.
This. We do an underarm swaddle only. If he can't wave his arms in the air or chew on his fingers...not gonna happen! We only do it so we don't have a loose blanket on him.

I was just doing bedtime, but I've been reading "Happiest Baby on the Block" which is big on swaddling, and have been swaddling LO for his naps today, which has been fantastic. He's sleeping in the pack n play for the first time and has been sleeping great.
As PP pointed out (and as I knew but didn't really think about until today), babies aren't really at a developmental level to be making connections and associations, so swaddling during the day shouldn't be super confusing. And honestly, he's not sleeping any different at night anyways, so I'm not super concerned.
We'll see if that's actually true tonight, but he's getting good rest, so I'm happy.

Always at night - she has a fleece Velcro swaddle that she loves to sleep in. I only swaddle her for naps during the day if I cant get her to fall asleep. Usually she falls asleep faster if I just hold her with a blanket lightly wrapped around her.
