Re: CPW: maxi dresses, mini skirts or shorts?

  • For this summer, I picked maxi skirts (followed closely by maxi dresses). I think those will fit better for being post-partum for me personally and helping to hide the baby weight I will be trying to lose.

  • So far, I am resisting the maxi dress trend, but I might cave as I get further into the third trimester.

I like my legs, and I wore so many long skirts and dresses when I was younger that I don't relish the idea of wearing them again - although I think they look cute on other people. :)

  • Prior to this pregnancy, I never owned a maxi dress. But now I have three in my closet for this summer! Figured it would be the most comfortable thing for me to wear as my belly grows in the warmer months.

I used to wear mostly knee-length sundresses and short shorts, though! Probably will still wear those... Well, maybe not the shorts. I might be gaining thunder thighs soon. :-S

Used to be short dresses. Easy- peesy. But now I like the maxi dresses, roomier & better for preggo I suspect.

  • I voted for maxi dress.  At 5'5", I previously thought maxi dresses made me look shorter than I really am.  Then I tried a super cute maternity one at Old Navy.  It was instant love.  It's cute on the bump and you can't beat that comfort for the summer!

  • I usually like knee length and sometimes mini, but I'll be all about the maxi dress this summer, for comfort and also because my legs feel thick and swollen!
