I have had the worst headache for about 24 hours now. I have taken a few doses of tylenol, iced my neck, hot shower and had a cup of caffeinated coffee to try and get it to go away. Any suggestions? Its getting worse as time goes by. Thanks
Sorry for the discomfort, I know how challenging it can be to focus and be productive with constant distraction. Hope they can give you some relief tomorrow.
I have found that a cold compress, dark/ quiet room, warm Epsom salt bath, peppermint essential oil on temples, super hydration (seriously, drink as much water as possible), and the supplement Natural Calm have been my saving grace with my pregnancy migraines. I hope you find some relief soon!
I had the WORST migraine a couple weeks ago. I was downing so much Tylonel I'm sure it could not have been safe. I broke down and called the dr who prescribed me something. It unfortunately is a category C, but I'm really weighing the pros and cons when I take it.
I get migraines and they come exactly as you describe. Believe it or not, have DH massage your shoulder area and back of neck. For some reason this seems to help a lot for me. It could be a sinus headache maybe? I know my sinus have been acting up since I have been pregnant and this morning I woke up with my head hurting in and around my eyes and middle of forehead.
One way I deal with migraines/ headaches is via pressure points. Take one thumb and push on the spot between the eyes right above the top of the bridge of your nose and the other thumb behind your head where your neck and skull come together- there is a softer spot in the middle just below where the hard skull begins. Push on both of them at the same time for about 10-30 seconds and release. I push fairly hard. A friend showed me how to do this years ago. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not.
Thanks everyone. I did make it into the chiropractor this morning and the headache went away immediately. I have slept the rest of the morning away since I only got an hour sleep last night
