I'm getting him a nice gym bag and some workout gear, since he's been recently going back to the gym. Also I want to this thing I found on Pinterest. I thought it was cute and something he might like to see when he gets home from work.
I got him cologne that we already picked out together. He LOVES colognes & collecting different smells. I will probably also make him something yummy that day.
A throat punch, he was one of the clueless SOs on mothers day. Though I think he may have realized it because he booked me a pedi for Saturday. So maybe I will get him this grill stone he has been looking at, it's a win-win because I will still get yummy bbq.
Dh is the worst gift getter EVAR. If I try to surprise him, he's like.."oh..you got me ____, I wish you would have gotten me ____". So I can't really surprise him anymore.
Problem is: I keep forgetting what he's asked for...
Our wedding is the day prior. My gift to FI will be not kicking him in the shin when he's hungover and leaves me to deal with all our overnight guests on my own. If he manages not to drink himself stupid and is fully functional on Father's Day I'm not sure what I'll do. But that'll never happen.
Glad you have such lovely high expectations for the person you plan on spending your life with. Wtf
There are plenty of other times to be able drink yourself stupid, your wedding should not be one of them.

Wow. Guess I forgot my sarcasm font.
We're going to brunch on Father's Day with everyone who's spending the night. Not sure about an actual gift.
------------ My sarcasm radar is pretty on point since that's usually the only language I speak, but it really seemed like you are expecting your new husband to act a fool for your wedding

We need a new grill. I guess we can deem that father's day. I need to do something, though. He done good for me. He'll get breakfast for sure. Probably french toast or something.
I got spoiled for Mother's Day and my coffee addicted DH has been freaking out that the Kuerig is going to die because it's been making some funky noises so I'll go get him a new fancy Keurig.
To clarify: getting drunk at your wedding is awesome if you both are in agreement to live it up and not give a fuck. She just sounded like she would not want him to but he would do it anyways. And this may sound prudish, but I don't know if I could get on board with drinking at your own wedding to the point of being completely belligerent and foolish in front of your friends and family.
It's at times like this when I know I'm getting old.

Also thinking about going halfsies (half from our joint account and half from my slush) on a recliner for him. He's been wanting one since we moved into our house. I would use it too of course since the damn glider has caused another damn cyst on my tailbone. I wanted to order Tucker some a firefighter outfit (DH is a firefighter) and take his pictures, but all the ones I could find were like $60+ and that just felt expensive.
